Events - 5k, 10k and 25k (select one event)

Entry fee: $65 for 5k, $75 for 10k and $90 for 25k

ENTRY DEADLINE: September 23, 2026 at 9:00 am EDT (no race day registration)

Medals for top three in each division (age, gender and craft groupings)


Highlights: Long sleeve, quick drying, UPF44+ t-shirt guaranteed for all registrations

Post race buffet lunch provided after race finish!

SEP Series Points for all finishers

Age Groups: Pre-Bantam (7 - 9) through Masters 80+

Tune-Up: Great course options and final tune-up opportunity for ChattaJack 2026

Boat Types: Kayaks, Surfskis, SUPs, prone boards, standard and outrigger canoes

There will be a 4-hour cutoff for all racers to complete the event, including the 5k, 10k and 25k distances. That is, all racers must be finished by 1:00 pm.

A signed waiver is required and is available online

All members of a multi-paddler craft must register

Coast Guard approved PFD and whistle required onboard craft

Race management software and athletic results platform.

The Lanier Canoe and Kayak Club wants to thank you for your diligence and service in this effort!

Your recognition of a crucial safety issue and your swift action is appreciated more than you know!

We proudly continue Olympic legacy here in Gainesville, Georgia, only with the help of the Gainesville City officials and staff and our amazing officials like you!

Water safety is first on our list. Thank you for protecting our athletes and our sport. From our very beginners to our world champions and Olympians, thank you!

Lake Lanier Olympic Park is one of the state's only venues from the 1996 Olympics that is still being used for its original purpose. My father-in-law, Jim Mathis, was one of the three tri-chairs who helped bring the Olympics to Gainesville-Hall County. Since then, the venue has continued to host annual regattas and events, from NCAA Championships to Dragon Boat races (like the one being held this weekend).

It is also home to our community's future paddlers and rowers. They utilize the facility and water almost every day for training and preparing to reach their dreams. When it was brought to my attention that help was needed to get safety buoys back in place to secure a no-wake zone for our community's athletes, I jumped at the chance to help.

I’m thrilled to report that the no-wake zone and buoys surrounding the venue are back in place and creating a safe environment for all who utilize the area.

It was so wonderful to see so many people come together and perform this service.

Today, four of our LCKC athletes are traveling to Bratislava, Slovakia, to represent Team USA at the Olympic Hopes Regatta! 🇺🇸

They have worked incredibly hard throughout the year to earn their places on the team, and we are very proud of them and everything they have accomplished to get here.

We wish them safe travels, great races, and the opportunity to show their best on the international stage and enjoy the experience.

Good luck🍀we’ll be cheering for you from home! 💪
