The 2026 Atlanta Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival is looking for 150+ volunteers to help keep race day running smoothly! From supporting festival activities to helping spectators, there are plenty of ways to get involved and be part of the excitement.

Volunteer perks include a festival T-shirt, lunch and refreshments, community service hours, free parking and shuttle service, and a front-row seat to an incredible cultural event!

Before the racing begins, dragon boats are traditionally brought to life through an Eye-Dotting Ceremony! During this tradition, the eyes of the dragon are dotted to symbolically “awaken” the dragon and prepare it for racing.
