The fitness industry loves a schedule that looks like:
Wake up at 5.
Train at 6.
Eat your perfectly weighed breakfast.
Hit your macros.
Get eight hours of sleep.
Repeat.
Cool.
Now do it on night shift.
Do it when court is scheduled right in the middle of when you should be sleeping.
Do it when your kid has practice, your spouse needs help, the grass needs cutting, and youâre running on caffeine.
Thatâs the part nobody puts in the program.
Iâm 40 years old. Iâve spent a good portion of my adult life in the military, law enforcement, training, raising a family, and trying to stay capable while life keeps changing the schedule.
Hereâs what Iâve figured out:
You probably donât have a motivation problem.
You have a programming problem.
Your fitness plan assumes your life is predictable.
Mine doesnât.
Iâm not interested in convincing you that fitness needs to become your entire personality.
I want you strong when somebody needs help.
I want you conditioned enough that a flight of stairs in kit doesnât smoke you.
I want you durable enough to keep living without feeling 70 at 40.
And I want you healthy enough to still have something left when you get home.
That requires a different operating system.
Some weeks you push.
Some weeks you maintain.
Some days you have 60 minutes.
Some days you have 20.
Sometimes the win is a heavy training session.
Sometimes the win is getting some protein, going for a walk, and getting your ass to bed.
The standard stays high. The strategy adapts.
Thatâs the difference.
Stop building your life around somebody elseâs fitness program.
Build your fitness around the life youâre responsible for living.
Thatâs Fit to Respond.
If this sounds more like your world than the fitness content you normally see, I built something for you.
