🏆 HPC Stallions U13 – 2026 HUB Champions 🏆
Champions are not made in a single game; they are built through consistency, teamwork, and the determination to improve every time they step onto the field. Under the guidance of Coach Orlando Baker, the HPC Stallions U13 excelled in every department of the game—batting, bowling, and fielding throughout the 2026 Hub season, finishing as CHAMPIONS after a series of outstanding performances.
The season began with a dominant all-round performance. Advaitha Yeramasetty and Aditya Reddy, both scored 45 runs, while Rishik Rajagopal added another valuable 47 runs to lay the foundation for victory. With the ball, Akshaj Rajagopal claimed 2 wickets, while Nayved Patodi, Advaitha Yeramasetty, and Ishaan Anand each picked up a wicket, giving the Stallions the perfect start to their championship campaign.
Building on that momentum, Game 2 showcased the team's strength in both batting and bowling. Akshaj Rajagopal provided a strong start with 36 runs, followed by an important 33-run contribution from Rishik Rajagopal. The bowling attack was led by Riaan Bormia, who claimed 3 wickets, while Daron Dalton added 2 wickets, helping the Stallions continue their unbeaten run.
In Game 3, the batting lineup took center stage. Advaitha Yeramasetty produced one of the standout performances of the season with a magnificent 91-run innings, while Akshaj Rajagopal contributed 47 runs and claimed 2 crucial wickets. The bowling unit backed up the batting effort brilliantly, with Rishik Rajagopal, Aditya Reddy, Riaan Bormia, Bodhi Mandal, and Nikith Prabin each taking a wicket to complete another convincing victory for Stallions.
Game 4 once again highlighted the incredible depth of the squad. Rishik Rajagopal and Akshaj Rajagopal led the bowling attack with 2 wickets and 3 wickets, respectively, while Advaitha Yeramasetty continued her outstanding all-round form, scoring 42 runs and taking 2 wickets. It was another complete team performance that kept the Stallions firmly on course for the title.
The team carried that confidence into Game 5, where Vivek Uppalapati played a composed unbeaten innings of 22*, while Nayved Patodi remained 19* not out to guide the team home. The bowling attack continued to shine, with Ishaan Anand picking up 2 crucial wickets, securing another important victory and setting up a championship-deciding final.
The season concluded with a thrilling, rain-affected championship game. In a high-intensity, low-scoring contest, Akshaj Rajagopal produced a match-winning spell, claiming an exceptional 3-wicket haul to lead the bowling attack. The Stallions successfully restricted the opposition's scoring, held their nerve under pressure, and secured victory by the D/L method, officially crowning the HPC Stallions U13 as the 2026 HUB Champions.
This Championship was NEVER about ONE Player—it was built on contributions from every member of the squad. Throughout the season, players stepped up when it mattered most, whether it was scoring crucial runs, taking important wickets, producing moments of brilliance in the field, or supporting one another through every challenge. The team's discipline, resilience, and commitment to playing for each other made them worthy champions.
A huge thank you to Coach Orlando Baker, Parents, families, and everyone who supported the team throughout the season. Your encouragement and belief played a vital role in this incredible season.
Congratulations to every player on the HPC Stallions team. The 2026 HUB season will always be remembered as a season of hard work, determination, teamwork, and championship success.

Josh Anderson scored an unbeaten 357 for Trinityhouse U14A in a 50-over match against St John's U14B (he retired not out with 11 overs to go).

One of the unsung heroes for USA all tournament long in Canada, but especially in the win over Canada on Friday, was Dallas academy star (via Rochester, Minnesota and San Antonio, Texas) Arjun Mahesh.

Mahesh took three catches yesterday and scored 12 runs in the chase, but the scorecard will never accurately show the impact he had on the team on the day and throughout the tournament. But on the match day itself, Mahesh was an absolute demon tag-teaming with Utkarsh Srivastava to save at least a dozen singles between cover and backward point. I can't remember ever seeing a USA squad at any level as fired up and ready to run through a brick wall for USA and explode onto the field as this squad was when they took the field after sitting and waiting for 5+ hours for the match to get underway, and Mahesh was the epitome of that. He was a stick of dynamite from start to finish in the field and built relentless pressure with his fielding.

After the lackluster showing 24 hours earlier against Argentina, the USA coaches all emphasized improving their body language on the field and Mahesh took that to heart arguably more than anyone. After Rishi Ramesh got out for the second wicket, Mahesh shot out of a cannon from the USA bench and sprinted to the middle before Ramesh had even reached the non-striker's stumps to walk off the field. He was beyond fired up to help get USA as far as possible in the chase and the 23-run partnership he had with Chettipalayam did its part to relieve any nerves USA may have had after losing two wickets for three runs just minutes earlier.

Throughout the week, Mahesh also demonstrated by far the most creativity in his scoring zones. He could drive, cut and pull, but nobody manipulated the depth of their crease against spinners as well as him to create better angles, especially behind square. Whether it was sweeping, shuffling across to flick through fine leg, or shuffling the other way to play switch hits and reverse sweeps, no player caused as much disruption when it came to an opposition captain trying to set a field against than Mahesh.

Congrats to Mahesh and the rest of the USA squad. I'll be posting a few more of these story nuggets over the next few days to give a bit more depth to the scenes of the day for those who weren't fortunate enough to be there in King City to witness the USA U19 squad's dramatic win over Canada on Friday to clinch a spot in the 2024 ICC Men's U19 World Cup.

Congratulations 🎊 👏 to Team USA U-19 for winning the ICC America's U-19 World Cup qualifier and qualifying for the ICC International Cricket Council U-19 World Cup 2024 to be played in Sri Lanka. Congrats to Coach Asif Mujtaba and all the players. Arjun Mahesh, a product of HPC, we are proud of you and continue to believe.
