🥊❤️ There’s something truly special about teaching your daughter how to fight.
Watching Kiley grow into the young athlete she is today has been one of the greatest experiences of my life, man.
She’s good on her feet. She’s got solid striking, great jiu-jitsu, natural instincts, and the heart of a competitor. But what means the most to me isn’t just the medals, championships, or wins—it’s the time we get to spend together.
Every round we train, every technique we work on, every hard practice, every competition, every win, and every lesson learned—we’re building memories that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life.
As her father and her coach, I couldn’t be more proud of the young woman and fighter she is becoming. She works hard, stays humble, keeps improving, and continues proving that girls can be strong, confident, technical, and absolutely dangerous on the mats. 💪🔥
And the results? The results speak for themselves. 🏆
But no medal will ever mean more to me than the bond we’ve built through martial arts.
Teaching my daughter how to protect herself, believe in herself, compete under pressure, and fight through adversity is a beautiful thing.
I’m proud of you, Kiley. Always. ❤️🥋🥊

One thing that surprises me as a coach is when a parent brings an 8-, 9-, or 10-year-old child in for a trial and says, “I don’t know if they’re willing to commit.”
At that age, children aren’t supposed to make every important decision for themselves. As parents, our responsibility is to guide them, create healthy expectations, and teach them the value of commitment.
I’m Coach Justin, and I’m also the father of a 12-year-old daughter. In our home, certain things are non-negotiable. She’s going to eat healthy food, read her Bible, complete her schoolwork, train, and be surrounded by people who are positive influences.
That isn’t about controlling our children. It’s about loving them enough to lead them.
As children get older, their decisions become more serious. They will face peer pressure, unhealthy influences, difficult relationships, drugs, alcohol, and many other challenges. If we teach them early that they only have to do what they feel like doing, we shouldn’t be surprised when they struggle with discipline and accountability later.
Children need love. They need encouragement. They need to know their voices matter. But they also need boundaries, expectations, structure, and parents who aren’t afraid to say:
“I understand that you don’t feel like doing this today, but we made a commitment, and we’re going to follow through.”
Martial arts is about much more than learning how to fight. It teaches discipline, confidence, respect, perseverance, accountability, and how to keep going when things become difficult.
We aren’t preparing our children for an easy childhood. We’re preparing them to become strong, capable adults.
Love your children. Listen to them. Support them. But don’t be afraid to lead them.

🔥 ANKLE LOCK MASTERCLASS AT SOLIDARITY MMA 🔥
Last night, Coach Justin broke down some absolutely **savage ankle-lock systems** with multiple variations, detailed finishing mechanics, and a clear explanation of exactly why each position works.
This wasn’t just, “Grab the foot and pull.” Coach Justin went deep into the details—proper positioning, control, pressure, finishing mechanics, common mistakes, and what can happen when an ankle lock is applied correctly.
Coach Justin has spent many years successfully finishing leg locks in competition, and getting the opportunity to learn directly from someone with that level of real-world competition experience is incredible.
The best part? These were all legal ankle-lock techniques for white and blue belts. These are practical, competition-tested techniques that students can begin learning and adding to their game right now.
If you want to learn high-level, battle-tested Jiu-Jitsu from one of the best in the business, come check out Solidarity MMA. Whether you are brand new or an experienced competitor, there is always another level to reach.
Thanks, and God bless! 🙏🥋

There’s nothing more rewarding than watching these kids grow, not just as athletes, but as people.
Every week they come in with great attitudes, work hard, encourage each other, and refuse to quit. They celebrate each other's victories, learn from their losses, and keep showing up ready to improve. Watching their confidence grow, seeing them become more disciplined, respectful, and resilient is what it's all about.
I'm proud of every single one of these kids. They make coaching one of the best jobs in the world, and I can't wait to see what they accomplish both on and off the mats. Keep working hard, stay humble, and remember—the journey is just getting started.
🔥 **Watching these kids grow has been incredible.** 🔥
One of the best parts about being a coach is watching young athletes put in the work and seeing it pay off.
These kids have been training **five days a week**, showing up with great attitudes, pushing each other, and getting better every single practice. It's amazing how much they've improved in such a short amount of time. Their technique is getting cleaner, their confidence is growing, and they're starting to understand the details that make such a big difference in jiu-jitsu.
As we get closer to **Jiu-Jitsu World League**, they're putting in the work, asking questions, staying after class, and doing everything they can to improve. You can really see the dedication paying off.
I'm incredibly proud of every one of them. Win, lose, or draw, they've already earned my respect because they're willing to work hard, stay disciplined, and never stop learning.
The future of this team is looking brighter every single day. Keep grinding, keep believing, and let's keep getting better together! 🥋💪
