We're dedicated to creating a quality program with small classes. This is what makes In The Spotlight

In 2006 In The Spotlight was started with a desire to create a pre-professional dance program in Fresno. We wanted a place where dancers could receive the training needed to be marketable in university applications and professional companies. Many of our dancers have gone onto work for companies in the industry, such as The Walt Disney Company, been accepted to train with professional dance compa

So proud of our dancers for taking the opportunity to train at NYCDA Nationals this week! We love supporting our dancers as they continue their training throughout the summer, learning from incredible industry professionals, and challenging themselves alongside some of the best dancers in the country. This is why we continue to come back to NYCDA, year after year. So proud of each and every one of you!

✨ ACCEPTED. And just getting started. ✨

Through dedication, consistency, resilience, and a commitment to excellence, Ashlyn Joy has earned acceptance offers from an outstanding list of highly competitive colleges and universities, ultimately choosing the extremely respectable NYU Tisch School of the Arts as the next step in her dance training. 💜

At In The Spotlight, achievements like Ashlyn’s are a reminder of why we do what we do. While trophies, titles, and awards can be exciting milestones, they have never been our ultimate goal. Our mission has always been bigger than competitive success. We believe in training dancers through meaningful experiences that develop discipline, confidence, work ethic, adaptability, communication skills, and the ability to rise to challenges; qualities that create opportunities long after the final curtain call of high school dance.

This achievement is a beautiful example of the long game approach we believe in: investing in personal growth, character, and real world dance readiness, knowing that the results will extend far beyond trophy lined walls.

We couldn’t be more proud of the person she has become, and we can’t wait to watch her continue to shine in this next chapter.

Please join us in congratulating Ashlyn on this incredible achievement! 🎓

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our 20th Recital on Friday. My heart is bursting with gratitude. We truly have the most wonderful dancers and families. I could not be more proud of every student; while their journeys are theirs alone we are blessed to play a role. Whether this was your first season with us or (for some of my faculty) your twentieth; please know that you are a valuable part of our community and I look forward to cultivating many more years of relationships, mentorship’s and of course beautiful dancing at In The Spotlight.

With immense gratitude,
Ms Ashley

At In The Spotlight, we are always looking for ways for our students to pursue dance as a form of education. These intensives will be no exception, and we would love to help your dancer set and achieve new goals this summer.

Our intensives are perfect for:
•Dancers wanting to see what it’s like to train with our award winning Company Program faculty
•Current Company members who will move age divisions next season
•Dancers who want to get on the faculty’s radar early, in order to be considered for next season’s program
•Parents who would like their dancer evaluated and are looking for honest feedback regarding their dancer’s long term potential and best next steps in their training
•Current Company Dancers who want to stay in peak performance shape off season.

In a world that moves fast, with days that often feel rushed, our dancers find something they didn’t even know they needed; a small class where they can slow down, work hard, and spend pressure free time becoming who they want to be.
