FG Championship Race #3 is in the books. Thanks to all that helped out both days with track duties. It was great to see so many people including those from SoCal, the Central Valley, and upper Northern California. It was a scorcher out there. This is your friendly reminder to please stay hydrated. If you start feeling ill, please let us know. Safety is #1 priority out there.
It was a weekend of many firsts. Here are just a few.
- Ced Collins finishing an entire main. Ok maybe not the first, but certainly a first in quite some time. Good to see him running consistent.
- The smell of fish was in the air. Ask Clinton Smith to sum it all up or in his case, why it doesn't add up.
- Phil Phillips getting the bump up and making the STC A main and finishing the whole 30 minutes. It was also the first time in a weekend, his car has ever seen more than 1 pair of new tires. He's seem what a difference new tires can make.
-First time doing a two-man team race at WSR using the Losi 5T 3.0E. I think everyone had fun and it might lead to more in the future. It was also a first to see Mark Salvatierra, John Burnett, and Bill Lin wheeling an off road car. Could we see them joining us at future MOD Championship series races???
-Jake Alton taking turns on the announcing duties. Thanks for your help. Could we see a new race director in 2027? Hmm. π€
- New faces helping out with track setup and tear down. If you are unsure how you can help, just ask.
- DJ John Burnett entertaining us all with his hip hop beats and aromatic scents filling the air. Who knew he had that secret talent spinning the vinyl.

Hope to see everyone back at the next round. Safe travels as you head home.
