The Freeland 7th Grade Girls Basketball team earned a dominant 48–2 win over Bridgeport! The Falcons controlled the game from start to finish with strong defense, great teamwork, and plenty of hustle on both ends of the court. Another great team victory for the Falcons!

The Freeland 8th Grade Girls Basketball team earned a thrilling 34–31 win over Jefferson Middle School! It was a tight battle all the way to the end, with the Falcons knocking down a huge three-pointer with just 45 seconds remaining to help seal the victory. The girls battled until the final buzzer and came away with another exciting team win!

Let’s go Joz!!

Joz Begick has been training with 2nd to None since 2018 and watching her grow into one of the top players in Michigan’s Class of 2027 has been nothing short of incredible.

A four‑year varsity starter at Freeland High School and a Ferris State University commit, Joz has already surpassed 1,000 career points, including 1,076 through her junior season, while knocking down 150+ career three‑pointers and earning a place in the MHSAA record books.

Ranked by Prep Girls Hoops as the No. 6 overall player and No. 2 shooting guard in Michigan’s 2027 class, she is a statement of what consistent hard work can do.

Her accomplishments include:

TVC Red Player of the Year (first ever)
AP First Team All-State
Detroit Free Press Second Team All-State
BCAM Best of the Best
BCAM Academic All-State

From walking into our gym as a 10‑year‑old to earning the opportunity to continue her basketball career at Ferris State, Joz’s journey has been built on years of hard work, consistency, and dedication — and the work isn’t finished yet. 🏀💪🏼

Both teams picked up wins over Frankenmuth last night! These two groups have a ton of talent, but what stands out even more is their teamwork, effort, and the way they play together. So excited to watch them continue to grow this season!
