Week 3 Sunshine of the Week ☀️

#19 Leah Kunisch and #17 Leilene McComber!

Leah truly demonstrated all of our values this week. She brings others with her in her positivity to lift others up before herself and spread smiles and joy to whomever needs it. She’s always a listening ear and gives fantastic feedback to help those around her get better and she’s working really hard in and outside of PT to get back on the field with her teammates.

Leilene emulates all of our values, but what came up most were joy and discipline. She always has a smile on her face no matter if it’s a fun practice or one that’s more technical or even just walking into the locker room. She instantly brightens your day. On the flip side, she is hungry to improve and isn’t afraid to ask questions or to get feedback from anyone who will give it. Her work ethic is extremely high and it allows the people around her to trust that she’s going to put feedback into motion.

Week 2️⃣ Sunshine of the Week ☀️

The more sunshine the better… #22 Ella Forrest and #9 Shaliyah Helmick!

While Ella demonstrated all of our values this week, what additionally came up in every single response was the word “leader.” Ella leads herself first, which challenges others around her to elevate their individual standards. She’s a great listener, always gives good feedback, and is very intentional with the way she approaches everything in her life... all while having a smile on her face and hyping others up.

Shay emulates all of our values, but the two that came up most were joy and unity. The intention Shay brings to practice challenges everyone else to come together and believe in what we can do, all while doing her silly dances to put a smile on everyone’s face. She’s a positive light both in and out of lacrosse.

Week 1 Sunshine of the Week ☀️

#6 Kiera Young!

While Kiera demonstrated all of our values this week, the one that came up most was Joy. She kept her Face in the Sun every single day this week, even during the hard parts of testing, and was always there to lift others up. She pushed herself to PR on the mile to show how intentional she was with her training this summer and dove into our “we before me” mentality.

Congrats, Kiera!

🔵 Shay is one of two Fredonia first years to earn an All-SUNYAC nod this year, our first freshmen since 2011.
🔵 Jess has earned our first goalie All-SUNYAC nod since 2015.

Second Team All-SUNYAC 😈

🔵 Katie is one of two Fredonia first years to earn an All-SUNYAC nod this year, our first freshmen since 2011. Katie is also our first All-SUNYAC midfielder to earn a second team spot since 2017.
🔵 Mieley has earned our program's highest attack All-SUNYAC spot since 2015.
🔵 Cam played her way to our program's highest defensive All-SUNYAC team since 2014.
