Tony brought his girls out for a little bowfishing adventure, but Mother Nature had other plans. The wind was blowing up the creek, and the incoming tide had the water super high and muddy. We spotted a few fish, but they were moving fast and were tough to see.

We decided to abandon ship and switch gears to some rod and reel fishing for rockfish. It paid off! We managed to save the night with three keepers and worked hard for that fourth but was unsuccessful catching plenty of throwbacks along the way.

The fish may have made us work for it, but the smiles, laughs, and memories made it all worthwhile. That’s what it’s all about—making memories and having fun on the water! 🎣

Mike brought his crew together from West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina for a little catfishing, and we had an absolute blast! The action stayed steady all day, with double hookups keeping us busy. Despite battling the wind and getting a little wet, we stuck with it and managed to put 64 catfish in the boat in just a few short hours!

A great crew, steady action, and memories made on the water. Good times, tight lines, and memories lasting lifetimes!

Joe and Dylan came out for a night on the water, and we managed to dodge the storms!

We started off with a little rod and reel fishing while we waited for the water to drop. We were able to pick up three keeper rockfish and a nice white perch before making our way back into the creek to do some bowfishing.

The fish were moving fast and diving right back down into the grass, making them tough targets. We stayed persistent, kept the arrows flying, and were able to catch a couple slipping!

It turned out to be a really fun night on the creek. Sometimes you just have to stick with it and make the most of what the fish give you!

Stephan brought Diego out for his very first bowfishing adventure, and we decided to break him in with a combo trip!

As the sun started to set, the fish turned on and we were quickly able to secure our limit, releasing a few of the skinny ones to live another day. Once the rods were put away, we headed back into the creek to hunt for some Northern Snakeheads.

The big snakes were hard to come by, but we still managed to put 8 snakeheads and several catfish in the boat! 🐍🏹

It may not have been a night full of giants, but it was definitely a great night on the water with a great crew. Diego got his first taste of bowfishing, arrows were flying, and memories were made!

Good times. Tight lines. Memories lasting lifetimes. 🎣🏹

Ricky, Dean, David & Joe came out for a little bowfishing adventure, and the river definitely made us work for it! 🎣🏹

The water was extremely high and muddy when we started, so we decided to pick up the rods and do a little casting while we waited for things to improve. We were able to put our 6 keeper rockfish in the boat right off the bat.

Once the tide started moving and conditions began to change, we put the rods down and grabbed the bows. We headed back into the creek, and the later it got, the more the water clarity started working in our favor.

Before long, arrows were flying and fish were hitting the deck! 🏹🐟

Great night on the creek with an awesome crew. Thanks for coming out, Ricky, Dean, David & Joe! Can’t wait to do it again! 🤙

Mike brought his buddies out to celebrate Jimmy’s retirement and experience bowfishing for the first time! The water started out pretty clear, but the fish were hiding deep in the grass and spooking extremely easy. As the night went on, the fishing got slower and slower.

I’m not sure if it’s the Sturgeon Moon or the lunar eclipse we’re supposed to get early Friday morning, but something definitely had these fish acting weird! Even with the tough conditions, every one of the boys got to stick a fish, and we still had an awesome night on the water.

We ended the night just one goldfish short of the Potomac Five. I just wish the fish would have cooperated a little more, because these boys could shoot! But that’s fishing and sometimes it’s about the time spent together as well. Looking forward to having this crew back out on a fishy day. 🎯🎣

Meet the Conollys! Dan brought his sons out for a little rod-and-reel fishing, and the fish definitely came out to play! So many fish hit the deck, and we were into some big stripers all afternoon. In fact, every striper we caught was almost over the slot, so they all had to go back to fight another day! But we managed to bag our limit.

If we could keep the catfish from getting to the bait long enough, it seemed like a big striper was ready to come in next. These young men could flat-out fish, and they were showing off their skills all afternoon!

This is the next generation, and this is exactly why I do what I do. There’s nothing better than getting young people out on the water, teaching them the sport, and watching them have a great time. What an awesome trip with an awesome family!

. Tim drove all the way from Harrisonburg to get his boys out on the river, and the river did not disappoint!

We started the night with some rod-and-reel fishing, and on Tim’s very first cast, the fish were already hitting the deck. We fished for about an hour and a half, catching some big blue catfish and releasing oversized stripers. The bite never slowed down!

As the sun went down, it was time to put the rods away and switch things up with a little bowfishing. We didn’t see many snakeheads, but we managed to stick one, and the carp and catfish kept the action going until the very end.

Arrows were flying, fish were hitting the deck, and most importantly, memories were being made. What an epic night on the river with an awesome crew! Can’t wait to have them back out again! 🎣🏹

Dural brought his crew out to try bowfishing for the first time, and they didn’t waste any time getting into the action! Arrows were flying all night, with TJ playing cleanup in the back. The fishing may have slowed down a little at times, but if you know Dural, you already know we were going to have a blast either way! Great crew, great night, and plenty of laughs. 🎣🏹🔥
