We aren’t meant to navigate major life transitions in isolation. Connection makes all the difference!

On September 22nd, Melissa Lewis (Melissa Lewis Counseling) and I are starting a weekly process group for women who are navigating stress, burnout, difficult transitions, and life shifts.

Our group is organically shaping up to be a beautiful space for women who are navigating emotional transitions, whether aging parents, older kids leaving the nest, loss, diagnosis, or relationship changes.

We have several spots filled and are looking for a few more women to complete this intimate circle of support, understanding, and connection.

We’ll meet for 8 consecutive weeks at my office (A Fuller Life Therapy) in Cool Springs.

• Regain your footing and reconnect with your most authentic, grounded self

When I sit with clients in my office, we often talk about how the body remembers what the conscious mind tries to skip over. Grief doesn’t follow a neat timeline, and it certainly doesn’t come with an expiration date.

If you just watched my video, please know this: unless your grief is consistently debilitating, unremitting, and overwhelming beyond the first year after a significant loss, those ongoing feelings of sadness are completely expected. You are not behind. You are just processing a loss that mattered deeply.

In my grief recovery work at A Fuller Life Therapy, I sit with people and together we navigate this exact terrain… learning how to safely hold the heavy moments without letting them consume you, while gently leaving the door open for joy and hope.

Important!

Your empathy is a gift. It's also, sometimes, the thing standing between someone and the lesson they actually need. 🔍

You see them struggling, and every instinct says step in, soften it, cover the gap so they don't have to feel the full weight of what they did. That instinct comes from love. But love and rescue aren't the same job.

Consequences are how a mind actually learns. Not the lecture, not the warning, the real felt result of a choice. Every time you absorb that result for someone, you remove the one teacher that was going to work.

Here's the harder truth. Sometimes the most caring thing you can do is nothing. Let the moment land. Let them feel what their choice actually cost.

That's respecting them enough to let them grow.

Send this to someone who keeps softening the landing for people who need to feel the fall.
