“You look great for your age.”

I know it’s meant as a compliment—but what is 47 supposed to look like?

This Sunday, I turn 47. And this is what 47 looks like on me:

Strong.
Confident.
Still learning.
Still dreaming.
Still becoming.
And deeply grateful for the body and life God has given me.

I’m not trying to look younger. I’m building the strength, energy, and capacity to fully live the years ahead of me.

So, to my sisters in your 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s—and beyond:

What does your age look like on YOU?

Drop your age in the comments and tell me one thing you’re proud of in this season. Let’s celebrate every year it took to become the women we are today. ❤️

Do it tired—but know the difference between needing motivation and genuinely needing rest.

Today, I was tired.

But because I nourish my body, move consistently, and prioritize my health on most days, my body was still prepared to perform. Once I started moving, the energy followed.

Isn’t the body amazing?

What we do consistently matters. Every balanced meal, workout, glass of water, and night of intentional recovery is an investment in our future capacity.

We aren’t caring for our bodies simply to look good. We’re building bodies that can carry our dreams, serve our purpose, and support the people we love.

Show up for yourself—so you have the strength and energy to show up for everything and everyone that matters to you.

What helps you get moving when you feel tired?

Hey Sis…have you ever been physically exhausted, but your mind simply would not let you rest?

That was me last night.

I replayed what I would have and could have done differently yesterday.

I planned for today.

I wondered how more people would discover my work.

I rehearsed what I might say in upcoming meetings so I would sound like I belonged in the room.

I thought about what my business partners needed, what my family members were doing and who I had failed to check on over the weekend.

The news and the weight of the world played in the background.

My body was lying in bed, but my mind was still trying to manage everything.

And through it all, these words kept playing in my head:

“As soon as I stopped worrying, worrying what might have been, I let go and let God have His way.”

Maybe that was the answer I kept asking for.

I didn’t need to figure everything out in the middle of the night. I needed to let it go.

This morning, I’m tired. I’m sipping my coffee and preparing for a jam-packed day. But I’m also reminding myself that I do not have to carry yesterday, solve tomorrow and meet everyone’s needs all at once.

Sometimes rest doesn’t begin when everything is resolved.

Sometimes it begins when we surrender our need to resolve everything ourselves.

So today, I’m choosing to let go and let God.

Is anyone else in this same place? What are you carrying today that God may be asking you to surrender?

Hey Sis… I need your help. ❤️

I’m building something very close to my heart for high-performing women 35+.

Women who are successful.

Women who take care of everybody.

Women with big dreams for the second half of their lives…

but who sometimes realize their own health, energy and well-being have somehow landed at the bottom of the list.

I’m looking for 10 women willing to have a short conversation with me.

I want to know:

What’s working?

What’s hard?

What do you wish someone would actually help you figure out?

No sales pitch. I’m listening and learning as I build the next chapter of The Vitality Project™.

If this sounds like you, comment VITALITY or send me a DM.

Because the woman you’re becoming deserves a body—and a life—that can carry her dreams. ❤️

What if stress isn’t always working against you?

What if, sometimes, it is your body preparing you to rise to the challenge in front of you?

Think about exercise. When we work out, we intentionally place stress on the body. We challenge our muscles, heart, lungs, balance, and endurance—not to break ourselves down, but to give the body a reason to adapt and become stronger.

But here’s the key: growth requires both challenge and recovery.

Life can work similarly. Stress may cause your heart to beat faster, your breathing to quicken, and your energy to rise. We often interpret those feelings as, “I can’t handle this.” But what if your body is actually saying, “I’m preparing you for this”?

That doesn’t mean all stress is good or that we should ignore chronic stress, trauma, or exhaustion. It means we may not have to fear every stress response we experience.

This week, I’m challenging you to stop asking, “Why is this happening to me?” and consider asking:

“How could this be preparing me?”

Watch Kelly McGonigal’s TED Talk, “How to Make Stress Your Friend,” and let me know what stands out to you:

Challenge. Recover. Adapt. Become stronger.

Stress. It makes your heart pound, your breathing quicken and your forehead sweat. But while stress has been made into a public health enemy, new research suggests that stress may only be bad for you if you believe that to be the case. Psychologist Kelly McGonigal urges us to see stress as a positiv...

Maybe you don’t need more motivation.

Maybe you need to give yourself PERMISSION.

Permission to want more.
Permission to change your mind.
Permission to outgrow what once fit.
Permission to prioritize yourself.
Permission to become a woman you haven’t met yet.

Hey Sis—

You are allowed to evolve.

In fact, I hope you do. 💛
