You can drink all the coffee in the break room and still crash at hour 6 because your body is not confused about what you ate. It’s confused about when you ate it.
Four things that change everything:
Last caffeine 5-6 hours before you sleep.
Shift ends at 7, sleeping at 9, that means your last cup is around 2am.
Eat 2 hours before you clock in. Not in the car. Eating right before a shift puts your blood sugar on a roller coaster for the first 3 hours.
Fuel at hour 4 and hour 8. Not whenever you finally get a break.
Post shift, protein first.
A big carb heavy meal at 7am is why you wake up at 11 wired and exhausted.
None of this is about eating less. It’s about eating on a clock your body can actually follow.
I’m breaking all of this down in my free class this Sunday.

Three coffees, no water.
Twenty minutes to eat, standing up, out of a wrapper. Home, wired, too tired to chew.
Nobody wrote a plan for this. Every program you have downloaded assumed you sleep at night and have a free Tuesday evening. You have neither.
So here it is, built for a 12.
Stop trying to get smaller. Lift two to three times a week. Eat enough to recover from the shift you just worked. Protein first. Move on your days off, not just on the floor.
Not complicated. Just never built around you.
Comment PLAN and I will send you the version that is.
I spent years being told by the fitness industry that I just needed more discipline.
I was working codes at 3 AM. Charting through my lunch. Coming home so wrecked I could not decide what to eat, let alone prep it. And every fitness program I tried assumed I had a normal sleep schedule and a calm week ahead of me.
None of them were built for the job I actually had.
So I stopped trying to force my life to fit the plan and built a plan that fit the life. Meals that survive a 13 hour shift. Training that works on 4 hours of sleep. Nutrition that does not fall apart the second you get mandated to stay late.
Your career is not going to slow down for you. The system has to work inside the relentless.
That is the only version that works for nurses. That is what I build.
Comment COACH to build you the system that works with YOUR LIFE.
I was a nurse AND a firefighter/paramedic. Discipline was never my problem.
Consistency was.
Not because I didn’t want it bad enough. Because I kept building plans for a life I didn’t actually have.
The 5am gym. The perfect Sunday meal prep. Eight clean hours of sleep.
Then a 12 turns into a 14, I get mandated, and the whole thing falls apart by Wednesday.
So I’d wait for Monday. Again.
Here’s what finally changed it. I stopped chasing perfect weeks and started stacking small wins on the days I actually had.
Three lifts instead of six. Protein first at every meal, even the ones eaten standing up at the nurses station. A ten minute walk after a shift instead of nothing.
Shift by shift. Rep by rep. Meal by meal.
That’s how I went from burnt out bedside nurse to building a business, competing in Women’s Physique, and standing on stage as Ms. Republic of Texas.
Consistency isn’t motivation. It’s not a feeling. It’s a decision you make when you’re exhausted, your feet hurt, and it’s 8pm and you still haven’t eaten.
Girl, you don’t need more discipline. You already have more of it than most people will ever have. You need a system built for the life you actually live.
The body you want gets built one shift at a time.
Comment COACH below if you’re done starting over every Monday.
The schedule is not the problem. I know that’s an annoying thing to read at 11pm on a Sunday.
But hear me out.
Every nurse who comes to me opens with some version of the same sentence. My hours are the reason this isn’t working. And I get it, because I said it too, back when I was the one eating whatever was sitting at the station at 3am.
Here’s what I’ve learned coaching hundreds of you.
The schedule isn’t what’s stopping you. It’s that you keep handing your body a plan designed for someone who sleeps at night, eats on a normal clock, and has a Tuesday that looks like their Wednesday. That plan was never going to survive contact with your life.
Megan is proof of what happens when you stop doing that. She’s down 45 pounds and she has not skipped a single 12 to get there. Not one. She still charts late, still comes home wrecked, still works the weekends you work.
Nothing about her week got easier. The plan just finally fit it.
You don’t need more time, girl. You need a system built for the hours you actually have.
Comment coach and let’s put together a plan made for you!
TONIGHT. Live. Free.
We are down to the last few spots.
Your day off is not a recovery day.
I know that’s not what you want to hear on your one Sunday off. But cortisol does not reset at 24 hours. Your HPA axis stays elevated for 48 to 72 hours after disrupted sleep, which means on a 3x12 you are walking into your next shift already behind.
Here’s the part that actually costs you.
Sleep debt builds across weeks, not days. One good night does not clear last week. That ongoing debt keeps leptin suppressed and ghrelin elevated, so you are hungrier more often and full less easily, even on the days you are doing everything right. And the cortisol sitting on your thyroid slightly lowers your resting metabolic rate.
Translation: you are burning fewer calories on your off days than your tracker thinks you are.
That is why your off day calories should not look like a true rest day. You are not recovered. You are in recovery mode. Different body state, different inputs.
I’m breaking all of it down tonight.

Your labs came back normal and you still feel like garbage.
Seven things a 12 hour shift does to you, and what to eat for each one. Swipe.
The one most nurses get wrong: coffee within an hour of plant iron can cut absorption by more than half. You eat lentils at hour 6, slam a coffee at 6:15, and wonder why you’re still wrecked.
Going deeper tomorrow on a free live training. How to eat around a 12 without spending your whole day off meal prepping.

Erin sent me this on Wednesday night and I’ve read it about nine times.
Some of you have met her before. She’s the one from the pinned post, 30 pounds down back in November 2024. That was already a big deal. She kept going.
Almost 80 pounds now, since the beginning of 2024. Two and a half years. Not a challenge, not a reset, not a fresh start every Monday. She just changed how she lives and let the time pass.
Here’s the part that gets me. What she’s doing isn’t complicated. Most of you already walk more in one shift than she walks in a day. So why does it work for her?
She stopped trying to run a program built for people who sleep at night.
That’s what I’m teaching Sunday. Free, live, and built for nurses and shift workers specifically.

Thank you for letting me share this, Erin!! I’m so proud of you girl!!

Comment CLASS and I’ll save you a seat for Sunday’s free live training. Send this to the nurse you work with.
Nobody quits because they lack willpower.
They quit because the plan asked them to give up everything they actually like.
You worked 13 hours. You’re not making a sheet pan dinner at 8pm. Be real.
So we don’t remove. We swap.
Energy drink becomes iced coffee and a protein shake.
Break room donuts become the lunch you packed in 4 minutes.
Vending machine becomes the protein bar in your bag.
Fountain soda becomes water and an electrolyte packet.
Drive thru becomes rotisserie chicken and a bag of rice you microwave for 90 seconds.
Ice cream becomes Greek yogurt and berries that actually tastes good.
Same craving. Same 5 minutes. Different result 12 weeks later.
That’s the whole thing. That’s part of the FIRE FIT Method.
Sunday I’m going live and walking through the whole system free. The swaps, the timing around your shift, and how to build it so it survives a bad week.
