The Highest Version of Myself
The best youth coach and sports leader isn’t necessarily the one with the most championships.
They’re the one whose former players become confident adults, effective teammates, and leaders because of what they learned under that coach and from playing within that program.
If I continue to build my identity around serving young athletes, continually improving my craft, and holding myself to the highest standards, the wins that they will accrue will become the byproduct of the culture that I create rather than the sole measure of success. That combination is what gives me the best chance to become the kind of coach and youth sports leader that people remember for decades.
