Lake Arlington is down 5' and holding so there must be some water being pumped into it to keep it at this level. The water is currently beyond the end of the ramp so no keelboat launching until we get substantial rainfall. If you get bored come on out & join me in shoveling washed out rock back up against the ramp for a smoother transition & to prevent the sides from washing out further. It is a lot like a spa day in our 100+ degree heat!

Folks, You may have heard that Freddie passed away two weeks ago. We want to celebrate her lifetime with our family and thank you for your loving friendship over the years with a celebratory luncheon at Joe T Garcia's, a favorite of Freddie's. The details are summarized in the invitation below, and it is at a time the family can all get together. I don't have contact information for everyone who may be interested in attending, so would you pass along the information, if the opportunity arises, to other friends in our groups so no close friends are left out? My number and email are in the attachment if anyone has a question. Thanks for everything, and I hope everyone can attend.

Beautiful day of sailing @ AYC. Hope to make it out again tomorrow!
Water level is back up so keelboats can safely launch again!
The dock has been moved out chasing deeper water. I was able to launch my Hunter 260 but it is going to be difficult for the other keelboats as the water recedes. Hoping the rain today will raise the water level.
The sewer project for the City of Ft. Worth appears to be complete in our area now. The boats that had been blocked due to construction are now clear. All members please come out and mow & trim around your boats. This is also the landlords' request so your timely help with this is greatly appreciated.

Quick storm passed through last night. Everything seems OK at AYC.
The city's sewer project is nearly complete and we have new rock on our back access road. We had some very minor flooding recently that has mostly receded and the ramp is still open for use.

The access road from the NW is currently blocked (not usable) by the sewer line project. Access along the main drive is still open. Be careful out there!

The City of Ft. Worth is installing a large new sewer line through the AYC boatyard. The boats that were stored on the right side of the rock road (in image) have been moved to make way for the destruction that is coming in the next few days. The center of the image shows where they are clearing the trees from our neighbor's property heading our way. Many of the trees on the right will be removed and very large equipment will follow digging very deep trenches for the new line. They will eventually be digging through the entry way so we will see how this all works out. Please be extra careful entering the property over the next 2 months during the construction period.
