One day I caught myself grieving my brothers I’ve lost along the way.
Then my day at the Parlor started.
My first mens cut of the day walked through the door, sitting in my chair, making me laugh, telling me about their life, and I realized something…life didn’t leave me without brothers, it just gave them back to me differently. 🖤
So grateful for the men who have trusted me and this space. You’ll always be more than clients to me.

No matter what I do my internal dialogue is always “You can do better.” I’ve been feeling the weight of and making it all “worth it.” But last Friday .chelsey.oconnor was my last of the day, and when her hair cut was over we weren’t ready to say goodbye, and as we sat together on the patio she said in her tinker bell voice, “ Sarah look at all this, this is yours and only yours, if this were mine I’d never leave, I love it here.” And for the first time in a long time a filter I had been looking at it all through was taken off, and i felt extremely seen and held and accomplished. Thank you 🫂🧚‍♀️
