I won’t lie. I thrive in the offseason.

I spent 4 years from when I got my pro card to when I stepped on stage as a pro, all with the goal of GROWING.
Eh, sure it wasn’t enough but… oh nooo… I get to take time to grow more…??? Nooo… say it isn’t soooo…. 😂😂😂😂 (all in sarcastic voice)
These are some ways I can tell if my offseason is going well. Yes most of it is physique related. But there’s lots of mental aspects too that can determine the “productiveness” of an offseason.
This sport is 90% mental- on both ends.

She’s getting ready to start college in a couple weeks, battled some non-bodybuilding related sickness, and saying yes to her best hot girl summer 🤗
Most of yall know post show is the TOUGHEST part of the sport. No glam. No shiny trophy waiting for you if you execute well.
Just a better body health wise.

Hearing her checkin each week FEELING better is everything.
Shes having her structured free meals, going to concerts and living her best life post show- YES 🥹🥳
When we learn how to do it all and do it well- that’s where champions arise. 💯

Literally it doesn’t have to be fancy. And you don’t have to change it up daily!! Tbh I only made more options for content ideas 😂😂 the fish and rice with banana meal is pretty much my go to- buy I’ve used the others in the past here and there and they do the trick too.
The preworkout macros are based on MY needs. You may need more, you may need less depending on the goals.
But the purpose remains the same 💯

I know it’s easy to say this as a bodybuilder, whose main objective is to LOOK good.
But after working with a number of lifestyle clients who DIDNT take before pics, I’m finding weekly or monthly pics to be a vital progress tracker.
Some weeks it CAN be depressing 🥲🙈
But in those moments it can also be motivating.
Is it the plan that’s not working?
Or could your (or my I’m not immune to mistakes) adherence/effort be better?
Am I training hard enough?
Could my sleep be better?
Am I handling stress well?
Believe it or not, pics can SHOW you a lot. 💛
All things I work with my clients on. But at the end of the day if someone isn’t comfortable doing something- I’m not going to force the topic.
Changing takes time and learning to be comfortable seeing yourself THROUGH the journey can take time too.

It’s easy in this day and age to dwell only on the negative. But in reality there’s SO MUCH MORE out there 🥹
All a matter of being open and willing to see it.
