✨ Volunteer Spotlight ✨

Ashley Benninghoff has served in artistic leadership with Fort Wayne Dance Collective for several years and has recently shifted her focus more toward teaching and performing with the organization. She continues to generously volunteer her time through artistic guidance, serving on the Artist Advisory Panel, and taking on a variety of important projects and responsibilities whenever an extra hand or creative perspective is needed.

Ashley is the leader of Pineapple Dance Project, and volunteers extensively in making all of FWDC’s performances come together. Her favorite thing about FWDC is, “seeing the emphasis placed on creating community and providing opportunities for all regardless of ability.” Her motivation to volunteer at FWDC comes from her belief that the arts can do so much, and that everyone should have access to that. Her calm and steady presence makes everyone at FWDC feel safe and loved. She leads dancers to be themselves through example, and provides the space and time for that to happen. She’s incredible at building both relationships and seemingly impossible props and sets!
