This paid internship program is designed to help you explore career paths, build professional skills, gain hands-on experience, and connect with mentors who can help shape your future.

This past Sunday, Culver’s of New Haven gave away 200 backpacks filled with school supplies, along with water bottles and YMCA passes, to local families getting ready for a new school year.

But what makes this story even better is why it happened.

When the Culver’s team heard that New Haven wasn’t going to have a free backpack program this year, they stepped up and created one. ❤️

And they didn’t stop with backpacks! Families spent the afternoon playing games, getting their faces painted and temporary tattoos, taking pictures with the Culver’s mascot, and simply enjoying time together.

We loved being there to play games, meet families, and be part of the fun alongside Mayor McMichael, other New Haven city officials, and East Central Fire & EMS.

This is what community looks like—local businesses, organizations, city leaders and neighbors showing up for one another.

A HUGE thank you to Culver’s of New Haven for seeing a need and saying, “We can help.” That kind of generosity makes New Haven a pretty special place to call home.
