🥋 TECHNIQUE TUESDAY!

Today Sensei is showing Kim a simple, practical self-defense technique for a situation that can happen in real life someone who’s been drinking, and gets a little too persistent!

The goal isn’t to overpower someone. It’s learning how to stay calm, create space, protect yourself, and get out of the situation safely.

Self-defense doesn’t have to be complicated to be effective. Sometimes the simplest movements are the ones you’re most likely to remember when you actually need them.

Today our Leaders Class had a special guest teacher! Jim Wolf joined us to teach our leaders the art of knot tying! 🪢

Jim has been a member of the International Guild of Knot Tyers (IGKT)for around 20 years and is also a member of the International Guild of Knot Tyers – North American Branch (IGKT-NAB).So when it comes to knots, he definitely had some knowledge to share!

One of the things we love about our Leaders Class is giving our students opportunities to learn skills that go beyond martial arts. Leadership is about being curious, learning from others, gaining new experiences, and realizing there is ALWAYS something new you can learn.
