The Pillar turns TWO this month.
For the next few weeks, I want to tell you a little more about why this place exists, what we’re building here, and why I believe having a place to move, breathe, grow, rest, and belong matters.
If you’ve been watching us from the outside, consider this your invitation in.
There is a place for you here.
Come celebrate two years with us. 🤍

Rest & Resonance is our monthly sound healing experience with Geneva Burgess—created as a space for deep rest, relaxation, and restoration.
You’ll get comfortable while Geneva uses singing bowls, tuning forks, and other sound and vibrational practices to create an environment that invites the body and mind to slow down.
No experience is needed.
Just come prepared to get comfortable.
Bring a blanket.
Wear cozy layers.
Bring an eye pillow, cushion, or anything else that helps your body feel supported.
Then lie down.
Close your eyes.
And receive.

Mindful Meditation starts Thursday at The Pillar.
Never meditated before? Come.
Mind racing? Come.
Hard to sit still? Come.
Already have a meditation practice? Come.
You don’t need to arrive peaceful.
You don’t need to know how to quiet your mind.
You simply need to show up.
Together, we’ll explore mindfulness through the teachings and practices of Thich Nhat Hanh, including his Calm-Ease meditation.
Come as you are. We’ll practice together.

We’re grateful for our partnership with The Pillar Yoga & Wellness 💙The Pillar Yoga and Wellness
Thank you to The Pillar Yoga & Wellness for partnering with School Care Team to support the well-being of our community.
Together, we’re creating opportunities for individuals to strengthen their mental wellness through movement, mindfulness, and intentional wellness practices. Through this collaboration, we’re able to provide experiences that encourage individuals to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and explore tools that support emotional well-being.
We believe caring for ourselves is an important part of being able to show up for others, and we’re thankful to partner with organizations that share our commitment to creating healthier, more connected communities.
Together, we’re continuing to build spaces where individuals feel supported, empowered, and equipped with strategies they can carry into their everyday lives.

Have you ever noticed how easy it is to know what everyone else needs...
and how much harder it is to hear yourself?
Somewhere along the way, many of us learned to stay busy, stay productive, or stay available to everyone else.
Returning to yourself is something different.
It’s the practice of becoming curious about your own thoughts, your own emotions, and your own inner world—with compassion instead of criticism.
That’s what we’ll be exploring together tonight.
Not becoming someone new.
Simply returning to the person who has been there all along.
🤍 Returning to Yourself
Tonight | 5:30–7:00 PM
Facilitated by Dr. Saloumeh DeGood
A gentle evening of conversation, reflection, journaling, and moving meditation.
Included with membership or drop in for $18.
What does returning to yourself look like today?
I’ve been thinking about attachment differently lately.
Not as a personality test.
Not as something to “fix.”
But as the story of how we learned to seek love, safety, and belonging.
Our attachment patterns aren’t flaws.
They’re adaptations.
They tell the story of what helped us survive, connect, and protect ourselves.
And when we can look at those patterns with curiosity instead of judgment...
we begin to relate to ourselves with more compassion.
That’s what we’ll be exploring together at The Weave this Sunday.

Reflection:
When do you feel most safe to simply be yourself?
07/01/2026
There was a time when I thought I was building a yoga studio.
But somewhere along the way, something changed.
Today, when I look at our weekly schedule, I don’t just see classes.
I see opportunities to return.
To your body.
To your breath.
To creativity.
To community.
To stillness.
To movement.
To honest conversation.
To yourself.
Every offering at The Pillar has a different doorway, but they all lead to the same place.
Not becoming someone new...
Remembering who you’ve been all along.
This week’s schedule reflects that more than ever, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible teachers who bring their unique gifts to this community.
Whether you join us for yoga, sound healing, intuitive dance, Community & Canvas, or our new Returning to Yourself offering…
There’s a place for you here.
Because returning belongs to everyone. 🤍
See you this week.
