Gateway Flag Football is looking for a few more referees for our fall season!

Whether you played here growing up, currently have a kid in the league, or just love Friday night football, we'd love to have you on our officiating crew. No experience needed — we train you on everything before your first game.

Fall season is right around the corner, and right now our biggest need heading into it is coaches. We're asking parents to step up and help us lead our teams this season — and we need you.

Why this matters: our goal is to keep team sizes small this fall. We already have a solid handle on registration numbers, so the number of coaches we sign up is really what determines how small (and how good) each team's experience will be. More coaches means more teams, which means more reps, more touches, and more opportunities for every player on the field.

What you get as a coach:

First pick of your team name (subject to availability)
You choose your practice night and time
Up to 2 additional players of your choice for your child to play with — every coach gets 3 keepers in the coed divisions

📢 LAST CALL — Fall registration closes tomorrow, Saturday, August 15! Some divisions are almost full, so don't wait. Miss it? Divisions with space reopen Sunday, August 16 with a late fee.

🏈 New player tryouts: Didn't play with us last season? Come out Wed. Aug 26 or Fri. Aug 28, 6–8 PM, at Gateway Charter High School. Only need to attend one night!

🙋 Coaches needed: We still need coaches, especially for 10U and 12–13U, plus a few open spots in other divisions.

As we head into the big night, please keep these important reminders in mind so everything runs smoothly and safely:

🚫 Uniform Reminder (Safety First!)
NO shorts with pockets or skorts allowed on the field. Fingers can easily get caught, causing injuries. Please double-check your player's gear before heading out!

🚗 Parking Info
NO overflow parking is allowed at the school due to the smaller number of games.

🎖️ Player Announcements & Awards
Championship game players will be individually announced at the tent right before kickoff!

Stick around after the final whistle—awards will be presented immediately following the games.

As our league continues to grow, we are making some important updates to our locations, pricing, and scheduling.

Early Bird Special!
We are offering an Early Bird discount for the first 30 registrants at each location!

Gateway Charter: Starting at $149 plus fees

Sherman Soccer Complex: Starting at $149 plus fees and field surcharge

Location & Site Details
1. Gateway Charter High School (Turf Field)

Divisions: Younger Co-ed (Ages 4–11) and all Girls divisions.

The Experience: High-quality turf playing surface.

Availability: Space is strictly limited; we expect these spots to fill up very quickly.

Parking: Free of charge.

2. Sherman Soccer Complex (Natural Grass)

Divisions: Older Co-ed (Ages 6–16).

The Experience: Our multi-field location with traditional natural grass fields.

Parking: The district has implemented a parking fee for non-residents.

Pricing & Compliance Updates
Field Rental Surcharge Due to the Gateway Services District implementing field rental rate increases recently, a surcharge has been applied to divisions held at the Sherman Soccer Complex to cover these mandatory costs.

We recommend registering as soon as possible to secure your spot, especially for those planning to play at the Charter HS location. We are currently offering a 3 payment plan where you can split your registration payment over 3 months.
