9 Things We Do Differently at Pilates Cure
1. We don’t have “small classes.”
We cap our classes at 5 people. Five. People.
2. We’ve been teaching Pilates before most people knew what Pilates was.
Now that it’s super trendy, we’re still teaching the Pilates we learned 20 years ago. Not whatever happens to be trending on Instagram this week.
3. We don’t worship the Reformer.
It’s a tool. One of many Pilates has to offer.
4. We don’t get weirded out by different bodies or skill levels.
We’ve taught total beginners, professional athletes, triathletes, grandparents, kids, paraplegics, pregnant mamas and pretty much everything in between.
5. We don’t have cream walls, cream Reformers or arched mirrors.
We know. We’re practically rebels.
6. Our teachers don’t use microphones to teach.
Most of us are probably overstimulated enough. Five people in a room means we can actually talk to you, not scream at you over loud music.
7. We don’t try to serve everybody.
We know who we are and what we have to offer. And we’re good with that.
8. We take Pilates seriously, but not ourselves.
We know the power and impact a regular Pilates practice has, but we also understand you are a human living in a body that literally changes every day.
9. We want you doing more than Pilates.
Go hike. Lift weights. Ride your bike. Play with your kids. Sit on the floor. Live your life. We want Pilates to make your life better, not become your entire personality.
If that sounds like your kind of Pilates, come see us in person or online!
