Defining Fitness with Laura I've been helping others achieve their fitness goals for almost 20 years now and have loved every minute of it!

I am lucky to be inspired by the wonderful people I get to work with every day! Helping others achieve an active and healthy lifestyle throuh fitness! I specialize in workouts for postural alignment and osteoporosis. Every workout should include not only weights and cardio, but also balance and individuality. Fitness is not black and white I love specializing a workout to a client's needs!

Had a blast running in the beautiful mountains testing out some new gear from Patagonia Trail Running

We ran just outside of Leavenworth, WA with about 5K elevation gain, slept near Lake Edna, and ran back down the next morning!

My pack weighed 14lbs and carried everything I needed! Sleeping pad and quilt, poles, fuel, hydration, thermal layers and puffy down outer layers to keep warm all through the cold night!

The trails were breathtaking, the stars at night brilliant, the pack was light and comfortable and the company was fantastic!

This new gear from Patagonia is still in the works and will be available next spring! Apparel and gear that will allow you to move through the mountains with ease!

My thoughts these last few days have been with all of those people who have been affected by the flooding in the Grand Canyon.

I was planning a trip in a few weeks for another R3 but I’m okay pivoting to another new adventure.

I’m grateful to have shared many miles deep within the canyon with so many friends and my sister, too. Every trip changes me. It’s a magical place. But it’s also mother nature who is in charge and that always involves the unknown and certain risks.

Keeping those who had terrifying moments or life changing events occur over this past weekend in my prayers. ❤️🫶🙏

Conquering big climbs with rewarding views…such a good feeling!

Happy to be home after a summer of travel! I love my mountains even when the trails are overgrown jungles!

Grateful for friends who are fit and daring enough to just say, “What time?”

Another long run in the books!

As the summer time fun comes to end, I’m so thankful for all of it! Every sunrise, sunset, run, hike, snorkel, adventure…even the heat and humidity that make summer running so challenging!

No travels for a while and it’s really time to dial into AZ Monster training! I have so much going on that my training is going to look a little different this year but I’m ready to get after it!

It’s daunting to think about running over 300 miles, but I just take it one training block at a time. One race or long run weekend deposited into the training bank each month . I’ll trust the process and put in the work and take out the big withdrawal come March!

I’m so ready to get after it!

I do all I can to survive summer running and protecting my skin comes first! I always start with sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses and protective clothing if I can.
