This begins a 12-week series on season programming, beginning with a two-part warm-up progression. This week’s part 1 demonstrates a warm-up designed to increase blood flow to the muscles you'll use and begin preparing for the workout exercises.
Foam rolling starts the warm-up to increase blood flow. PVC pipe exercises help the swimmers feel the alignments needed for squatting, hip hinges, and rotation.
Scapula wall slides, bench thoracic spine flexion and extension, and upper spine rotation open up the range of motion needed for movements essential in all activities.
Banded upper body exercises, which finish the video, likewise prepare the scapula and rotator cuff complex to stabilize the movements of the arm.

A fun fact about him is that he was born in Korea and moved to the US at 4 years old!
