• Fort Lauderdale Deep Sea Fishing Report – OctoberWow, wow, wow — what a month for fishing in Fort Lauderdale! The mahi mahi showed up a little late this year, but when they did, they came in thick and hungry. We’ve been catching beautiful gaffer-size mahi, ranging from 8 to 15 pounds — an unexpected pleasure for this time of year. The sailfish are starting to show up strong too, mostly in 170 to 200 feet of water. Lately, we’ve even been spotting them chasing ballyhoo in the shallows — a great sign that sailfish season in Fort Lauderdale is just getting started.Even more exciting, we found mahi mahi feeding in under 100 feet of water! Casting live bait to them in the shallows has made for some incredible light-tackle action and unforgettable fishing days. The weather has been absolutely gorgeous — calm seas, clear blue water, and air temperatures between 67° and 75°F. No hurricanes for us this year, but it looks like the storms that passed through the Caribbean pushed plenty of fish our way. All in all, October was a fantastic month for deep sea fishing off Fort Lauderdale.Looking ahead, November should bring red-hot sailfishing and a good shot at wahoo as well. The water temps and conditions are lining up perfectly for an amazing winter bite.If you’re ready to experience the action, come fish with us aboard Hooked Up, one of the top-rated Fort Lauderdale fishing charters. June Fishing Report – Big Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi & More!Fort Lauderdale, FL – Hooked Up Sportfishing with Captain Taco
What a fantastic month of fishing we had in June! The Blackfin Tuna bite has been hot, with plenty of large fish hitting the deck. Wahoo are starting to show up in solid numbers, and we’ve had some great action with Mahi-Mahi (Dolphin fish) as well.
We’ve also seen the occasional Sailfish, keeping things exciting offshore.
The weather has been absolutely beautiful—calm seas, sunny skies, and perfect conditions for fishing. There’s been a noticeable increase in baitfish along the reefs, especially Ballyhoo and cigar minnows. That’s a great sign that even more pelagic action is on the way as we move into July.
Looking ahead, we’re expecting the bite to keep heating up. July is shaping up to bring more Wahoo, Mahi, Tuna, and who knows what else—now’s the time to get on the water!📍 Fort Lauderdale, FL🎣 Captain Taco – Hooked Up Sportfishing📞 Call/Text: 954-608-7000📧 Email: [email protected]’s get you Hooked Up this summer!7https://calendar.aol.com/?view=ntps://help.aol.com/products/new-aol-maiSettings
