For thousands of generations, humanity could only imagine what a sunset might look like on another world. Today, we can actually witness it. 🌅🔴
This breathtaking view of the Sun setting over the Martian horizon reminds us just how far human curiosity and exploration have taken us. Mars may be cold, dry, and distant, but through robotic explorers, its incredible landscapes are no longer beyond our reach.
A sunset on another planet—captured by science and shared with humanity. 🌌🚀
What do you think the first human on Mars will feel when they witness this sunset with their own eyes? 👽🔴

Paramahansa Yogananda placed extraordinary importance on devotional chanting. He taught that chanting is much more than singing sacred words: when practiced with concentration and devotion, it can turn the mind inward, awaken love for God, and prepare consciousness for deep meditation.
One of his best-known teachings summarizes it beautifully:
“Chanting is half the battle.”
By this, Yogananda meant that one of the great difficulties in meditation is getting beyond restless thoughts and intellectual analysis. Devotional chanting engages the heart as well as the mind. As the chant becomes increasingly interiorized, attention can move naturally from outward expression toward inward communion.
In the introduction to Cosmic Chants, Yogananda explained that chants sung with increasing devotion and concentration can ultimately lead the practitioner toward direct perception of the Divine. He emphasized several stages: first singing aloud, then more softly, then mentally, and finally allowing the chant to continue inwardly in the heart and consciousness.
This is closely connected with what he called “divine yearning.” Technique alone, in his teaching, isn’t the entirety of the spiritual path. Meditation techniques help still the body and mind, while devotion supplies the longing for God. Chanting is one of the most effective ways he taught for awakening that longing.
