✨SENIOR SPOTLIGHT✨
Last, but CERTAINLY not least is Max Tucker. Max is studying Mechanical engineering and will be pursuing his masters this fall! He has been on the team for 4 years now and has served 2 terms as president and 1 term as travel & safety!
For the last three years, Max has held a leadership role on this team and the club truly wouldn’t have functioned without him. Talk about accountable…this guy is a true legend. No matter how difficult or time-consuming the task, Max always gets it done. From race entries to networking to boat rentals to major equipment repairs…you name it, Max is your guy. On top of that, Max is an extremely talented rower. Most notably, Max & Ryan took home gold in the Collegiate club championship doubles at Head of the Charles this fall and he also took first in the single at Plains Regional this spring. He’s also a great teacher and at this point, just about everyone on the team has learned everything they know about rowing from Max. Off the water, he brings the team together with an unfiltered sense of humor and caffeine-crash naps that make all of us question if our posture could truly be any worse?
Max—You have had an immeasurable impact on this team over these last few years. We will miss your leadership, mad-engineering skills, and erg pants like crazy and we wish you the best with your masters. See you around the dock🫡💚

✨SENIOR SPOTLIGHT✨
Next, we’d like to recognize Ashby Deitz! Ashby is majoring in Computer Science and has had a huge leadership role within the team during his three years with us, serving as the Vice President from 2024-2025 and an honorary officer/team captain this year as well!
Ashby might be the literal definition of a team player. He’ll row or cox any boat without complaints and excels from any seat (this year he’ll be rowing the Men’s 2- at ACRA nationals, but just last year, he coxed the novice women’s 4+!) On top of that, Ashby brings this team together and makes everyone—from the newest novices to the oldest of veterans—feel welcome. No matter how early practice is, how difficult the workout is, or how disorganized race-day might be, Ashby maintains composure and shows up with a positive attitude. Additionally, as an experienced rower and seasoned leader, Ashby somehow has the answer to every problem that arises within the team, even if it just as simple as a cookie👀).
To our favorite passenger princess, George Ashley Deitz the Third—Thank you for your passion, leadership, and dedication to this team. We’ll miss your goofy laugh and team spirit and we wish you the best with whatever comes next! 💚

Last night, we celebrated the end to an outstanding season at our annual team banquet! Turns out… we clean up pretty nicely👀
From growing immensely on the water, to increasing our organizational effectiveness, to branching out into the community, to building our ramily💚, we are so incredibly proud of how far this team has come over the past year. A huuugee thank you to everyone who has supported us this season—cheering for us at regattas, supporting us on social media, donating to our ramfunder and week of giving, and for just following along with our team as we grow.
Congratulations to our graduating seniors, Max, Ashby, Jake, Jackson, Ryan, Izzy, and Sean. We’ll miss you guys so much and we wish you the best with your next adventure💚
Andddd one last shoutout to our officer board: Max, Allie, Seth, Reese, and Molly for their leadership and dedication this year💚
Finally, congratulations to this year’s roward recipients:
Novice of the Year: Greta Miller
Varsity of the Year: Molly Slupik
Most Improved: Beau Berman
Team Spirit Award: Mickey Holden
Ram Heart Award: Hudson Hague
Cheers to CSU crew!!

✨SENIOR SPOTLIGHT✨
Our next senior spotlight is Jackson Smith! Jackson re-joined our team this semester and is graduating this spring with degrees in Human Dimensions of Natural Resources and Spanish!
Some people may not know this about Jackson, but she practically lives outdoors when she’s not rowing. If she’s not working outside, you can probably find her on a mountain hiking a 14’er or skiing the slopes, depending on the season, or going for a bit of a run (either because she’s just running or training for another race). While she’s only been a part of the team for about two years, Jackson helps act as the glue that holds everyone together. She consistently makes a point to talk to almost everyone at practices and regattas and make sure we don’t beat ourselves up too much.
Jackson- we as a team appreciate everything you’ve done as our glue to help everyone up onto their feet. You’ll be missed by many next year, and we wish you the best on your next adventure. 💚
