Another great Wild Rose Mustang Challenge! Both Youth and Adult Trainers this year, plus the Mustang Open Show! Busy, hectic, tiring, but so worth it to see how well everyone did and the fun that was had showing off Mustangs! Big congrats to Lucía Vanoplinus and Dory Schmidt for winning the Adult division with their filly, Cherry! And, for my rare bias mom moment, GREAT job to Elsa Feucht ! Though, she didn’t score as well as she hoped, she has done a fantastic job training little Papaya all summer (with very little help from her busy mom) and I have no doubt he’ll be a perfect little horse for his new adopters! Elsa also took home 1st place in ridden Trail and Hunter Over Fences with the perfect, Atta and showed off Theia’s tackless jumping! We brought 6 other Mustangs, and the riders did an awesome job showing people how cool these horses can be!! Big THANKS to everyone that helped make this event a success! Go Mustangs! You know we’re getting ready for some freestyles when the crazy stuff comes out! Certainly desensitizes all the horses 😂 And, sorry Ellie Bruckert , I just had to include the last clip… No horses, humans or balloons were harmed in this undertaking, but perhaps don’t try this one at home 😅

We’re a little over a month away from heading to the RRP TB Makeover with 5 incredible OTTB’s and some awesome riders! Our CSU team has been doing great getting started with Eventing with Gem Mint Ten and Shore Lodge (Kwani). They’ll hopefully be adding Freestyle and Show Jumping to the schedule at RRP! Elsa and Lady Mcsparkles (Athena) have been killing it in Eventing and prepping for Freestyle, Ellie Bruckert and Valentyme (Selene) are really starting to figure each other out and also doing great in Eventing and prepping for Freestyle, and last but not least, our late entry Donnegal Momentum (Rygun) is catching up to the rest and putting the pieces together, to hopefully compete in Eventing and maybe Show Jumping 🤷🏻‍♀️😅 It’s a huge endeavor to get this group to the Makeover and support these horses and riders; we’ve already had some amazing sponsors, but are looking for more help with travel costs etc for the team! A non horsey farm update! Have some fun new Quails, the Impeyan Pheasants are almost full grown (check out the color on the male!), and we have a new pond for the waterfowl! I still have tons of things I want to accomplish before winter, but we’ll see what we get to!

A busy, but awesome day at the Sunrise Mini Trial yesterday! Elsa and Theia had a blast doing another tackless xc round! I rode Rygun in Dressage and SJ, then Elsa took him xc! Atta had her first show back in a few years, and Elsa did a BN xc round with her! Students had great rides, as well! Emily McDorman piloted Jack around his first show, finishing 5th! Lucía Vanoplinus and the Golden, Unicorn pony Owen had another awesome Starter event! .eventing took Percy and finished 3rd! had her first show with RRP ride, Kwani, finishing 7th with clear jumping rounds! Ellie Bruckert had a great BN HT with RRP mare, Selene and Josie Bruckert finished her Intro event on Bellenos! We’re glad to have Madison and Roman back, and they had a good event, as well! Maggie and pony, River also joined for a great first Starter! Great job everyone, and especially big thank you to the Sunrise team for running an awesome event with great support for all!

Elsa has been helping with Atta’s fitness! She’s hoping to take her to a show or two while Ziva is recovering; what do you guys think?! It’s pretty fun for a mother daughter pair to ride mother/daughter horse pair together😍
