Good Morning, Trenholm Little League Nation,

There were five games on the Wednesday night TLL schedule. Our featured game was a Coach Pitch Softball game at Satchel Ford Field #3 between the Hilley Teal Tigers and Team Sims. The Teal Tigers jumped out to an early 3-0 lead after the first inning. After Team Sims put a run on the board in the top of the third inning, the Teal Tigers would extend their lead adding another 3 runs in the bottom of the third to take a 6-1 lead. Team Sims rallied for four runs in the top of the fourth inning and had the tying run on second base with two outs. But the Teal Tigers got the last out and held on for the exciting 6-5 win.

For the Teal Tigers, Jane went 3 for 3 with a run scored. Eloise went 1 for 2 with a double, 2 RBIs and a run scored. Eleanor and Madeline each went 2 for 3 with an RBI. For Team Sims, Addison went 2 for 2 with a three run home run, a double, 4 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Hazel went 1 for 2 with a double. Sara Cate went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored. Gwendolyn went 2 for 3 with a run scored.

Over at Perrin Thomas Field #5, in Minors Baseball action, Team Watson edged Team Bostic 8-6. For Team Watson, Ollie went 2 for 2 a home run, a double, 2 RBIs, 2 runs scored and a stolen base. Grant went 1 for 2 with a run scored and a stolen base. He also pitched 1 2/3 innings allowing 2 runs and striking out 3 batters. Beckham scored a run and stole 2 bases. Matt pitched 1 1/3 innings allowing 2 earned runs and striking out 4 batters. For Team Bostic, Rinehart went 1 for 2 with a run scored and a stolen base. John Duke went 1 for 1 with a stolen base. Lovette went 1 for 1. Wyatt and Grayson each scored 2 runs. They also combined to pitch the entire game for Team Bostic, allowing 6 earned runs and striking out 8 batters.

In Minors Baseball action over at Trenholm Park Field #1, Team Arrington got a walk off RBI single to win the game 9-8 over Team Maurer. For Team Arrington, Truman went 2 for 2 with the game winning RBI single. He had 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored. James Austin went 1 for 1 with a double, an RBI, 2 runs scored and a stolen base. He also pitched 1 1/3 innings allowing 3 earned runs and striking out 2 batters. John Aidan went 1 for 1 with a run scored. He also pitched 2 innings allowing 4 runs and striking out 5 batters. Walker went 1 for 2 with a double and a run scored. For Team Maurer, Charles went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs, a run scored and a stolen base. Robert went 1 for 1 with a triple, an RBI and 2 runs scored. Vance went 1 for 1 with a run scored and a stolen base. Kyle pitched 2 innings allowing 3 runs and struck out 3 batters. He also scored a run.

Over at Trenholm Park Field #1, it was a softball doubleheader. In the first game, in Coach Pitch Softball action, the Breland Fuchsia Fighters rallied from an early 4-0 deficit to defeat Team Williams 6-5. For the Fuchsia Fighters, Olivia S went 3 for 3 a double, an RBI and a run scored. Kennedy went 2 for 3 with a double, an RBI and 2 runs scored. Graylin went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles. Olivia B and Charlotte each went 2 for 3 with a run scored. Since there was only one team scoring on GameChanger, we don’t have the Team Williams breakdown of hits. We can tell you they scored five runs on fifteen hits. Four of their players had at least two hits, including their leadoff batter who had a double and 2 runs scored.

In the nightcap at Trenholm Park Field #2 in Majors Softball, the Seibert Toxic Green Beans defeated the Lee Fuchsia Fire 12-4. For the Toxic Green Beans, Claire went 1 for 2 with a double, 3 RBIs, 2 runs scored and 3 stolen bases. Kenleigh went 2 for 2 with a double, 2 RBIs, a run scored and a stolen base. Caroline went 1 for 1 with an RBI and a stolen base. She also pitched a complete game allowing four runs while striking out three batters. Zoey went 1 for 1 with a run scored and 3 stolen bases. For the Fuchsia Fire, Addison went 1 for 2. Stevie had an RBI and a run scored. Emmilyn and Amaya each had an RBI.

There are seven games on the Thursday night TLL schedule. Over at Trenholm Park Field #2, it’s a Minors Softball doubleheader. At NTBC Field #7, it’s a Coach Pitch Baseball – Majors Baseball doubleheader. At NTBC Field #6, Perrin Thomas Field #5 and Satchel Ford #3, they each have Coach Pitch Baseball action. Due to our recap writer having evening work commitments, we will not have recaps of Thursday night’s games. We will back Saturday morning with recaps of Friday’s games.

Good Morning, Trenholm Little League Nation,

There were eight games on the Tuesday schedule. Our featured game was a Coach Pitch Baseball Game with the Eddins Green Monsters taking on the Giovannini Soda City Bananas. The Green Monsters took an early 2-0 lead after one inning, only to see the Bananas score six unanswered runs in the next two and a half innings to take a 6-2 lead.

Our play of the game was in the top of the fourth after an RBI double gave the Bananas that 6-2 lead. But before that, there was an injury on the Green Monsters during the previous play that resulted in a substitution (the injured player is OK). Coach Eddins motioned to his dugout “Whoever is ready to play comes in”. Well on the next play, the shortstop Jack S was ready to play. The Bananas hitter smacked a hard grounder to short. Jack S fielded it cleanly, turned and tagged the runner from second trying to advance to third for the first out. Then Jack S wheeled and fired to the first baseman to get the batter out for the rarely seen 6-6-3 double play. SWEET!

But the Bananas were unfazed by the spectacular double play. They would go on to win the game 8-4. For the Bananas, Rowan went 3 for 3 with a double and a run scored. Connor went 1 for 3 with a home run, 3 RBIs and a run scored. Ford went 1 for 2 with a home run, an RBI and a run scored. Jack went 2 for 2 with a triple and 2 runs scored. Samuel went 2 for 3 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored. For the Green Monsters, McNeil went 2 for 3 with a triple, a double and 2 runs scored. Weston went 2 for 2 with a triple and a run scored. Bennett went 1 for 3 with 2 RBIs. Dax went 1 for 3 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored.

Over at Perrin Thomas Field #5, in another Coach Pitch Baseball game, Team Twitty downed Team Nates 14-8. For Team Twitty, Milo went 3 for 3 with a triple, a double, 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Brooks went 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, an RBI and 3 runs scored. Levi went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Jack went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and an RBI. For Team Nates, David S went 2 for 2 with a triple, an RBI and 2 runs scored. Everett went 2 for 3 with an RBI and 2 runs scored. Jack Avery went 2 for 3 with a double, 2 RBIs and a run scored. Maxwell went 2 for 3 with a double, an RBI and a run scored.

Over at NTBC Field #6, in more Coach Pitch Baseball action, the Arnold Tailgaters defeated Team Wakefield 4-1. For the Tailgaters, Barret went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles, an RBI and 2 runs scored. Beckett went 2 for 3 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored. Brooks Brabham went 2 for 3 with a double and a run scored. Caleb went 1 for 2 with an RBI. For Team Wakefield, Owen went 1 for 2 with an RBI. Nathan went 1 for 2 with a run scored. Bodhi, Jonah and Nolan each had hits.

At NTBC Field #7, in another Coach Pitch Baseball game of the evening, Team Nichols defeated Team Carter 11-0. For Team Nichols, Jackson went 3 for 3 with a home run, a triple, a double, SEVEN RBIs and a run scored. Just missed the cycle! Henry went 3 for 3 with 3 runs scored. Luke went 3 for 3 with a double, 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Kade went 2 for 3 with a double, an RBI and 2 runs scored. For Team Carter, Noah went 2 for 2 with 2 doubles. Maverick, Hayes and Kolton each had a hit.

At Trenholm Park Field #1, it was a baseball doubleheader. In the first game, in our final Coach Pitch Baseball game of the night, the Reardon Maniacs got a walk off single in the bottom of the sixth inning to defeat Team Watson 12-11. For the Maniacs, Cole went 4 for 4 with the game winning RBI single. He also had an RBI and 3 runs scored. Wells went 3 for 3 with 4 RBIs and a run scored. Elliot went 3 for 3 with an RBI and 3 runs scored. William K went 2 for 3 with a double, 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored. For Team Watson, Callen went 3 for 3 with a triple, a double, 2 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Jonah went 3 for 3 with 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Henry went 2 for 3 with a double, 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Whit went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored.

In the nightcap, in Majors Baseball, the Reardon Code Red defeated Team Martin 17-2. For Code Red, Nico went 2 for 2 with 2 doubles, 2 RBIs, 2 runs scored and a stolen base. Webb went 2 for 2 with a double, 2 RBIs, 2 runs scored and 3 stolen bases. Ernest went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs and a run scored. He also pitched 2 innings allowing 2 runs, 1 earned and struck out 5 batters. Dillon went 1 for 2 with a triple, an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base. For Team Martin, Wrigley and Anthony each scored a run. Gabriel had 2 walks.

Over at Trenholm Park Field #2, it was a Minors Softball Doubleheader. In the first game, the Ginsburg Fireballs knocked off the Koehler Green Sox 7-2. For the Fireballs, Sadie went 1 for 1 with 2 runs scored and 2 stolen bases. She also played catcher and got a runner at home for a caught stealing. Natalie went 1 for 1 with a triple, 2 RBIs and a run scored. Sallie went 1 for 1 with an RBI. Avery went the distance on the mound, going 4 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits and striking out 10 batters. She also scored a run and stole 2 bases. For the Green Sox, Addyson went 1 for 2 with a double, an RBI and a run scored. She also pitched the entire game and struck out 8 batters. Baylies went 1 for 2 with a run scored. Jean went 1 for 1 with an RBI. Eleanor went 1 for 2. Avery, Sadie and Addyson each got game balls for their respective teams and we featured them in our game recap pictures!

In the nightcap, Team Eddins doubled up the Hollis Radioactive Hippos 10-5. Emma went 2 for 2 with an RBI, 2 runs scored and a stolen base. She also pitched 2 hitless innings allowing a run and striking out 6 batters as Team Eddins threw a no hitter. Caitlyn went 1 for 1 with a triple, 3 RBIs, a run scored and a stolen base. Charleigh went 1 for 1 with a triple, 2 RBIs and a run scored. Solee Gray went 2 for 2 with a double, an RBI, a run scored and 2 stolen bases. For the Radioactive Hippos, Lila had an RBI and a scored a run. Audrey, Ann and Collin each had RBIs.

Good Morning, Trenholm Little League Nation,

Yesterday started our fall season at Trenholm Little League and our featured game was the Coach Pitch Softball game, the Hilley Teal Tigers vs. Team Kirkham at Satchel Ford Field #3. The game was umpired by long time TLL Alum and current AC Flora JV Softball player Jessica Terry.

Team Kirkham took an early 3-0 lead after one inning. After Team Hilley scored two runs in the top of the fifth inning, Team Kirkham responded with four runs in the bottom of the fifth to go on and win the game 7-2. For Team Kirkham, Ansley went 3 for 3 with a triple and 2 RBIs. Reese went 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Libby went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored and Elise went 2 for 3 with a run scored. For the Teal Tigers, Madeline went 2 for 2 with a double and 2 RBIs. Eleanor went 2 for 2. Jane S and Jane V each went 1 for 2 with a run scored.

Over at Satchel Ford Field #4, in Coach Pitch Baseball, the Eddins Green Monsters downed Team Scriven 9-4. For Team Eddins, the Bash Brothers, as Coach Eddins calls them, Hudson and Grayson, actual real life brothers, each bashed a home run. Hudson went 3 for 3 with his solo HR, an RBI and a run scored. Grayson went 1 for 3 with a 2 run home run, 2 RBIs and a run scored. Dax added his own home run, going 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs and a run scored. McNeil went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles, an RBI and 2 runs scored. For Team Scriven, Walker went 3 for 3 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored. Blake went 2 for 3 with an RBI, Charles went 2 for 3 and Cannon went 1 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored.

Over at Trenholm Park Field #1 in Minors Baseball action, Team Watson defeated Team Nelson 12-5 with three pitchers combining on a no hitter. For Team Watson, Ollie went 2 for 2 with a triple, a double and 2 runs scored. Matt went 1 for 2 with an RBI and a run scored. He also pitched a scoreless inning, allowing no hits and striking out 2. Grant went 1 for 1 with 2 runs scored. Scott and Anderson each went 1 for 1 with a run scored. For Team Nelson, Rome scored 2 runs and stole 6 bases. Knox, George and Menachem each scored a run and combined to steal 8 bases.

In Minors Baseball action over at Perrin Thomas Field #5, Team Arrington held off Team Bostic 12-8. For Team Arrington, Walker S went 2 for 2 with 2 RBIs, and a run scored. For Team Bostic, Walker B and Wyatt each went 1 for 2 with an RBI and a run scored. Wyatt added 2 stolen bases. Rinehart went 1 for 2 with 2 RBIs. Kingston and John Duke each went 1 for 1 with a run scored.

In Majors Softball over at Trenholm Park Field #2, the Lee Fuchsia Fire tied the Seibert Toxic Green Beans 11-11. For the Fuchsia Fire, Kayleigh went 2 for 2 with 3 RBIs and a stolen base. Dear Trenholm Little League Members,

Thank you for all of your hard work, dedication and service as volunteers for this league. We are extremely grateful for each one of you!

As you may know, TLL is required to have an Annual Meeting in early September. Here is a reminder that this year's Annual Meeting will be on Sunday September 13th, today, at 6:00pm. The meeting will take place under the picnic shelter adjacent to TP2. At this meeting, the Board of Directors will be available to answer any questions you may have and to discuss the following:

1. Condition of the league
2. Summary of TLL's financial status
3. New Board member nominees and the voting process.

We need 20% of our membership to vote either in person on September 13th or by electronic voting (after the meeting). We will send separate communication on the weekend of the meeting that will include bios of the potential new board members. A link to vote electronically will be available immediately following the meeting. Voting will end on Thursday, September 17th at midnight.

Dear Trenholm Little League Families,

The Trenholm Little League Board of Directors is actively seeking new members for the upcoming term. The current board's term will conclude on September 30th, and the newly elected board will begin service on October 1st.

We want to be very transparent about what serving on the board entails: Trenholm has always been a working board. We need reliable, dedicated individuals who genuinely want to see our league thrive and who are willing to be hands-on throughout their term. Serving on the board requires commitment, follow-through, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and help make the league successful.

To date, we only have 5 bios submitted for the upcoming board elections. Our TLL constitution states that we must have between 11 and 19 board members, so we are well short of that. Our annual meeting and board elections are this coming Sunday the 13th, so this is the last call to submit your name to be a member of the board. If you are interested, please submit a brief biography and statement of interest to [email protected].

Please see below for board positions and responsibilities:

President: lead board activities and meetings; ensure overall functionality of league; frontline communicator with external parties

Vice Presidents of Baseball, Softball & T-Ball/Rookie Ball (1 position each): lead the activities related to each of their respective divisions/leagues; frontline communications with coaches

Field & Equipment: manage budget and activities related to fields and equipment; chair field and equipment committee of volunteers

Treasurer: Manage budget; incoming/outgoing expenses; annual tax documents

Secretary: Manage agendas and minutes for board meetings

Information Coordinator: Primary manager of external communications from the league

Umpire Coordinator: Coordinate umpire schedules; hold umpire rules training

Safety Officer: Ensure stock of first aid kits; communicate with Little League international if needed; ensure background checks are facilitated for volunteers

Sponsorship Coordinator: Lead committee to solicit sponsors for Spring/Fall seasons

Canteen Coordinator: Maintain stock of canteen; organize schedule for canteen

*Additional responsibilities to execute the Fall & Spring seasons are often spread across the board members and other volunteers.

Trenholm Little League Community,

We are proud to share truly transformational news for our league and for Trenholm Park.

After months of coordinated work between the Trenholm Little League Board, Richland County Recreation Commission leadership, and our legislative delegation, HB 3305 has officially been approved by the South Carolina Legislature and ratified by the Governor. This bill includes a $1.25 million state appropriation dedicated to renovating and upgrading Trenholm Park and its baseball and softball facilities.

This funding represents one of the most significant investments in Trenholm Park’s history. It is the direct result of persistent advocacy, collaboration, and a shared belief in what Trenholm Park means to the families of our surrounding community.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who supported this effort: our board members, RCRC and community partners, legislators, Carlton Washington, and the many families who have championed the need for improved facilities. Your voices and your commitment made this possible.

With HB 3305 now law, we look forward to major improvements at Trenholm Park that will enhance player development, expand opportunities, and strengthen the experience for every family that utilizes the Trenholm Park baseball and softball facilities.

Big changes are ahead, and we cannot wait to share more as this project moves forward.
