NO AUDIO, JUST TAP! 🕺🏼💫💙

And for tap dancers, that’s kind of the point.

Hearing the actual sounds of the feet alongside the music allows dancers to develop an important part of their technique: listening.

Tap is both a visual and an auditory art form. Dancers need to hear the clarity, timing, rhythm, weight, and texture of each sound they create. When the taps are audible, teachers and dancers can listen for what’s clean, what needs adjustment, and how each sound contributes to the overall rhythm.

So yes, there’s music playing… but don’t forget to listen to the feet, too.

Because in tap, the dancers aren’t just dancing to the music. They’re making music of their own! ✨💙

With training from The Juilliard School and a professional career spanning Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, and the Metropolitan Opera, Norbert brings a wealth of artistry and experience to every class.
