Charleston Surf Company instructor Kelsey Kraft putting Olivia through an awesome session yesterday morning on Kiawah! 🌊

People always tell me, “There aren’t any waves on Kiawah.”

And I always tell them, “No… but there aren’t any crowds.”

Kiawah’s user-friendly sandbars create perfect conditions for learning — plenty of space, manageable waves, and lots of repetition without fighting through a crowd.

Living the dream on Folly Beach this morning. We had an incredible five-person lesson with an amazing group of kids. Watching them gain confidence in the ocean, learn to surf, and develop skills that will stay with them for life is the best part of what we do. Every wave is an opportunity to grow, have fun, and build respect for the ocean. Grateful I get to call this work. 🤙🌊

Join us Monday–Friday from 9:00–11:00 AM on Folly Beach for a week focused on building confidence in the water.

We’ll cover:
• Surfing fundamentals & skill development
• Proper pop-up mechanics and technique
• Extensive ocean safety training
• Fun, small-group instruction

$75 per day — come for the full week or prorate your camp and attend only the days that work for you.

🚗 Carpool is available for an additional cost.

July Surf Camp 🏄‍♂️🌊

Before we hit the waves, we put in the work on land.

A huge part of becoming a confident surfer starts with understanding the fundamentals — dialing in your pop-up mechanics, building proper technique, and learning the ocean safety skills that keep you and others safe in the water.

We don’t just teach kids how to stand on a board — we teach them how to read the ocean, move with confidence, and become better surfers every session.

Another awesome private lesson with .__ ! We spent the session dialing in balance, board positioning, and pop-up mechanics. By the end of the lesson she was moving with more confidence and building the foundation for consistent rides. Stoked on the progress and excited to see her keep improving! 🤙
