Congratulations Warren Collier who earned a spot as a judge at the 2026 Epigen J24 World Championship in Melbourne!

ONE PROTEST CHANGED EVERYTHING

Sometimes the smallest moments shape an entire sailing career.

For Warren Collier, it wasn't winning a championship or crossing a finish line first.

It was helping his daughter.

After she lodged a protest at a regatta, Warren helped her prepare a National Appeal with US Sailing. Hours spent studying the Racing Rules sparked something completely unexpected.

"I decided to become a certified judge."

Today, after more than 42 years of racing and over 30 years sailing J/24s, Warren will be part of the International Jury for the 2026 Epigen J/24 World Championship.

Funny how one protest can change the course of a sailing life.
