Before you step on the mat, know who you are learning from.

Master Dave K**a has been training jiu jitsu since the mid-1980s — starting at the legendary Gracie Garage in Torrance, CA. He is one of the very few people in the world to have earned every belt from blue to black directly under Master Rickson Gracie, receiving his black belt in 1995. As number two of the Dirty Dozen — the first twelve non-Brazilian black belts — he became Rickson's top student and trusted understudy, assisting in seminars across the globe.

In 1993 Rickson personally appointed him head instructor of the Laguna Niguel academy. He rebranded it as K**a Jiu Jitsu in 2012 and has been building champions and communities ever since. Master Dave currently holds a 6th degree black belt.

Jiu jitsu on the mat is great. Jiu jitsu in the middle of the ocean with Cozmel and the Bahamas as your backdrop hits completely different.

We are bringing the K**a Jiu Jitsu experience to sea June 18 through 23, 2027 aboard the Norwegian Escape. Three instructional sessions, two guided open mats, and rare private lesson opportunities with Ryan Young of the Rickson Gracie Team. Limited to just 30 participants because this is meant to feel intimate, not crowded.

Departing from Orlando. Visiting Cozmel, Mexico and Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas. Practical, self-defense-focused training built for real-world application, surrounded by open water instead of four walls.

Jiu jitsu fee is $400 for all sessions. Cruise rooms start at $950 per person, double occupancy.
