✨ TEACHER TIP TUESDAY ✨
This week’s tip from Ms. Brooke: Confidence is Key! 🔑💗
Confidence is key
Confidence in dance isn’t about believing you’re perfect—it’s about trusting yourself enough to perform without holding back. 💗 You can have the strongest technique, the hardest choreography, and the cleanest skills, but if you don’t believe in yourself, it can be difficult for your audience to feel the emotion behind your movement.
Confidence allows you to take up space, commit to your movements, and perform with purpose. It’s walking onto the stage knowing you’ve worked hard and reminding yourself that you deserve to be there.
And the best part? Confidence is something you can build. Every class, every correction, every performance, and every time you push through something that scares you—that’s how confidence grows. 🫶🏼
So don’t worry about being perfect. Be present. Be powerful. Be YOU. Let your personality shine through your movement and dance like the stage belongs to you. 🔥✨

✨💕 STUDIO CULTURE SATURDAY 💕✨
At DK, we don’t expect perfection—we encourage progress.
Our dancers are given the freedom to try, make mistakes, ask questions, and try again. Every missed step is an opportunity to learn, and every brave attempt deserves to be celebrated. 🩰
Because confidence isn’t built by getting everything right. It’s built by discovering that it’s okay when you don’t.
Mistakes are welcome here. That’s how we grow. 💕

Once DK family, always DK family! 💗🖤
Ms Darci and DK alumni Jamie Craten (Class of 2016) and Ajah Love (Class of 2015) were thrilled to support fellow DK alum Kayla Hayes (Class of 2018) at the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Meet the Team night! ⭐️
We are incredibly proud of Kayla and love seeing our DK family continue to support and celebrate one another through every chapter. Once DK, always DK! ✨

✨ TEACHER TIP TUESDAY ✨
Tip: Be the joy at the front of the room!
As a teacher, I think it is very important to lead each class with positive energy and encouragement. Dance is a place where students should feel safe to gain confidence, explore their creativity, and most importantly have fun!
I have found it helpful to “remember my why.” Looking at things from a different perspective and reflecting on why I continue to return to dance helps me better support my students individually.
My goal is for every student to feel seen, valued, and appreciated! 💗

✨💕 STUDIO CULTURE SATURDAY 💕✨
At DK, it’s about so much more than dance. 🩰
It’s the friendships made between classes, the teammates cheering each other on, the teachers who believe in their students, the confidence built one class at a time, and all the little moments in between. 🫶
We’re proud to create a place where dancers can learn, grow, laugh, make mistakes, celebrate accomplishments, and most importantly—feel like they belong. 💗
Because the best part of dance isn’t just what happens on the stage… it’s the people and memories you gain along the way. ✨
More than dance. A place to belong. 💕
That’s the DK culture.

✨ Teacher Tip Tuesday! ✨
💗 Trust your body! 💗
The greatest skill a dancer can learn is simply trusting their own body. 🩰 Sometimes a student knows the skill, has practiced it over and over, and has the strength and technique to do it—but fear gets in the way. They hesitate, overthink, or convince themselves that they can’t do something before they even give their body the chance to try. 💭
✨ Our bodies are capable of incredible things when we give them the opportunity to move without doubt. Every turn, jump, trick, and difficult skill starts with trusting the training that has already been put in. 💪
Remind your dancers that they don’t have to be fearless—they just have to be willing to trust themselves, take a breath, and go for it. 🫶🏼
👩🏫 As teachers, we can help build that trust by celebrating progress, not just perfection. A dancer’s confidence grows when they realize, “I did something I didn’t think I could do.” 🌟
Sometimes the biggest breakthrough isn’t learning a new skill—it’s learning to believe that your body is capable of doing it. 💕
✨ Trust your training, trust your body, and let yourself be amazed by what you can do. ✨

✨ TEACHER TIP ✨
Connection before correction. 💗
One of the most important things I’ve learned as a dance teacher is that students learn best when they feel seen, safe, and supported.
Before jumping into corrections, take a second to connect with your dancers. Say their name. Celebrate something they’re doing well. Notice their effort. Make them feel like they belong in the room.
When dancers know their teacher believes in them, they’re much more willing to take corrections, try something difficult, make mistakes, and keep growing.
We aren’t just teaching choreography and technique—we’re helping build confident humans along the way. 🫶✨
