Card #005 dropped — and this one's about me and the Voodoo Queen.

20+ years doing this, 450+ recoveries under my belt, and 176 of those with Jesse riding sh***un. We cover all of WV, PA, OH, MD, and KY — that dog's got a nose that don't quit and a prey drive that makes her built for these mountains. Longest trail we ever ran was 1.9 miles, oldest recovery sat 73 hours before we found him.

People ask me all the time why I trust a scrappy little Jagdterrier over the "normal" tracking breeds. Simple — she reads what the deer's doing better than any dog I've handled. You just gotta learn to read her back.

Motto's stayed the same the whole way through: trust your dog.
