We're excited to announce our next round of coaches joining us for the 2027 season!

First off we welcome back Javonne McDougald to the staff! He played for us back in 2017 for a bit and was an assistant 2 years ago temporarily. After some successful fall seasons, he has decided to come over and help out with the defensive line and help improve our team!

Second we would like to welcome back Coach Donovan Hunt! He is another former player, but was also our WR coach in 2024 for our championship run! After a year serving our country in Korea, he's back and will be adding defensive backs to his resume, harking back to his high school days as a two-way player.

Finally we would like to welcome Cody Howell to the staff! After a long playing career on our rival Rebels and several fall teams, Cody has retired from his playing days and is looking forward to helping our WRs catch onto the new offense and make an impression early!!

Wrapping up our awards is the biggest one of the year.

This years most valuable player lined up in every skill position on the field and played effectively. No matter where or when he was ready and willing to step up and into the spot. Not many would do that as much as #3 Quarterback, Wide receiver, running back, linebacker and defensive back Atlantis Gohleston.

After playing primarily receiver his first couple seasons, he stepped up to be the QB early in the season and then rotating around as the season continued and the war of attrition became almost over whelming. Luckily we already have more help coming next season and look to get him back to being more and more productive!!!

A lot can be said about our next award winner, but if it doesn't include playmaker then you're mistaken. Our 2026 Offensive Player of the Year is #4 wide receiver Keshawn Wynn. Keshawn came in playing both ways most of the season and led the team in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns. Now with a new offense around the corner, Keshawn looks to add more numbers to the list.

We haven't forgotten our top 3 awards of the 2026 season!!!

Our defensive player of the year is Richard Swanson III! Richie came ready to learn and make the team better! Playing outsides and middle linebacker and even filling in at a little corner when needed. Richie wracked up plenty of tackles, sacks, interceptions and touchdowns. We look forward for building with him more and more!

Our next award is one of our favorite to give out. The Iron Mike award is based off the statue on Fort Bragg of the same name. We give it out to a player that is either active duty or a military veteran who is a consimate team player and goes above and beyond in his dedication to the team.

This years recipient is #30 Offensive tackle and defensive end Andre Turner. What makes this more interesting is Dre came to the team wanting to play running back and linebacker, but with the initial low numbers he sacrificed for the team and played where needed and asked. Suffering a minor injury early, he battled back to finish the season strong! On top of that, he was at most practices, even pulling up in his work truck to get reps.

Our next 3 awards help recognize players that helped us start to complete our three phases of the game.

Starting out is our Ironman award for the best two-way player of 2026 #14 Malachi Letterlough! Playing running back and middle linebacker throughout the season, Malachi rarely was on the sideline. Playing not only offense and defense, but all special teams as well. Making an impact with several rushing TDs, devestating blocks and forcing big plays on defense! A player not afraid to wear his emotions on his sleeve, we look forward to him stepping more into a leadership role next season!

Special teams player of the year goes to #27 James Mathes. While playing wide receiver and defensive back, James ensured teams knew he was there with his special teams play. While he did have a few good blocks and returns on kickoff, his made the most impact when we kicked the ball off. Flying down the field, full speed with wreckless abandon to stop returners in their tracks.

The final award for these one is our comeback player of the year. #98 offensive and defensive lineman Jeff Tenner. While splitting his time as a fire fighter and taking a couple seasons off to repair his knees, Jeff came back a few games in to help out on the both sides of the ball in the trenches.

Next up we have our positional awards.

For offensive lineman of the year we had #64 Jaylin Avery. Jaylin played most of the positions on the line and showed great promise throughout the season, often with little or no substitution help as he went both ways.

Wide receiver of the year goes to #12 Kendric Long. Moving to several spots in the WR lineup, Kendric fought and battled through each week. Catching several touchdowns and two point conversions as well as laying down critical blocks, Cedric proved that young players can make an impact.

#7 Kapone Brown won the defensive lineman of the year award. Not only stepping back into the DE role, he split time at the center position, but proved that speed and technique can be a huge factor, leading the team in sacks in 2026.

Linebacker of the year went to a semi-pro vet #1 Midas Brown. Making the transition from a career DB and starting in one of our outside spots, Midas found himself in the box as the season progressed with several tackles for loss, sacks and QB pressures.

Rounding out the position awards is our defensive back of the year #32 Adonis Avery. Joined a few weeks into the season, he immediately made his impact felt with tackles, pressures and pass breakups to help solidify the defensive backfield.
