RESPECT, a multi-award winning program. addresses sexual & relationship violence thru peer education.

RESPECT (Rape Education Services by Peers Encouraging Conscious Thought) is an award-winning peer education program of the Campus Sexual and Relationship Violence Center at the University of Arkansas. RESPECT addresses sexual and relationship violence through varied peer education presentations, programs, and outreach with emphasis on prevention, risk reduction, cultural change, and creating trauma-informed communities of care.

Today is Denim Day!

The last Wednesday of April is recognized as International Denim Day, which is all about supporting survivors and raising awareness about the harm of victim blaming. The blame lies with offenders, not the victims!

Tomorrow is Denim Day! Wear your denim to show solidarity with victims and survivors of sexual violence!

The movement began after the Italian Supreme Court overturned a r**e conviction because the survivor was wearing tight jeans, with the court arguing she must have helped her attacker remove them. Wearing denim on the last Wednesday of April is a global symbol of awareness about victim-blaming and a statement of solidarity with survivors.
