Oops, we did it again! Sorry, not sorry🤪

LRSMTB held another GRiT Give It A Go event this past Tuesday and we were thrilled with how many girls showed up to participate! We got crafty making awesome painted rocks and bracelets, made plenty of silly faces, munched on snacks, and rode trails together. We chatted about what NICA and GRiT mean to us and the words fun, inclusive, competition, and friendship were repeated several times. We even had some of our returning female student athletes talk about the impact NICA and GRiT has made on them.

Special thanks to the for supporting girls and women in cycling! And thank you to and for their continued support to get and for encouraging more female coaches on our teams! As a recipient of a NICA x She Sends grant, we were able to host a second all girls try it out event. This grant is all about helping us get more girls on bikes and making sure we feel seen, supported, and celebrated on and off the trails. She Sends is investing in our journey, and we think that’s pretty dang cool!

Additionally, we plan to create fun opportunities for our girls to continue to connect both on and off their bikes throughout our season.

🚲Are you going into the 5th through 12th grade this Fall 2026?

🚲Do you live in or attend school in the Little Rock area?

🚲Are you interested in learning how to mountain bike?

🚲Already know how to shred it on the trails and want to ride with other students your age?

Join us as LRSMTB kicks off the 2026 Season with our Meet & Greet Party on Thursday, July 9th beginning at 6:30 pm, at the Old War Memorial Golf Clubhouse (5511 W. Markham St, Little Rock, AR 72205). This is a great chance to meet our newcomers, reconnect with our returning families, and talk about the upcoming NICA season. We will have pizza, salad, cookies, and refreshments. Please bring your own water bottle and lawn chair. We will play some get to know you games. No bike is needed for this event.

Please RSVP using the link in our bio, no later than July 7th so we can plan accordingly. You only need to fill this out once even if you have multiple students with the team. We look forward to seeing everyone out there!

Help us prep the NEW Arkansas NICA course for our upcoming races and earn your NICA bonus points!

WHERE: New York Ave and 9th Street on Camp Robinson Base in NLR. (If you do not have a current Recreation Use Pass, have your driver’s license, Proof of insurance, and registration ready for base access at the gate!). We will meet in the Brigade Staging Area - it’s a big open space - near the CATA tools trailer. This will be the Pitzone for the first race of the season.

WHEN: Saturday the 25th | 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM

WHAT TO BRING: • Plenty of water • Closed-toe work shoes • Work gloves • Your bike & helmet (to test the new course afterward!)

THE PERKS: Every 15 minutes worked earns NICA season bonus points (up to 25 max). Coach Angela will track and log your hours to help us hit our team goal!
