The countdown is on, and we want you a part of it! Whether you're stepping onto the competition floor or supporting us as a volunteer, you're what makes the weekend so special for so many.

🎓 Applications are open for the Connor & Devin McGovern Choice Ready Scholarship!

Three $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to student athletes competing in the 2026 ABLE Games who lead by example — advocating for inclusion, building community, and living out the spirit of ABLE both on and off the competition floor.

Who's eligible?
🔹 HS seniors registered to compete in a 2026 student division
🔹 Planning to attend a 2-4 year school, OR
🔹 Moving into a transitional program or starting work

Deadline: Friday, October 9, 2026 at 11:59pm
Recipients announced: During the award ceremony at the student competition on November 13, 2026

We hope everyone had a restful long weekend after what we know, for many, has been a busy first weeks back to school! 🍂

As students settle back into their routines, we're taking a moment to look back at one of our favorite parts of last spring: our ABLE in School peer-to-peer fitness assemblies!

These assemblies bring students together to learn, move, and connect through adaptive and inclusive fitness, building empathy and community one activity at a time. 🧡

You've made it through the first days of the school year! 🥳 Let's head into the weekend with a few of our favorite ABLE in School moments educators have shared with us:

🎒 A student who is minimally verbal and on the spectrum has gone from avoiding classmates to fully joining in with them during PE.

🎒 A visually impaired student asked his school for balls with bells inside, so he could hear them coming and play right alongside everyone else. His teacher ordered them that week.

🎒 More than one school has said the sense of connection didn't stay in the gym; it spread into the hallways.

^ THIS is what inclusion looks like when it's built into the school day, not just added on top of it.

Yesterday, we shared a little about what ABLE in School is. But... what's inclusion through movement? 👀

For us, it's a genuinely important concept to understand. Because inclusion through movement means every student, regardless of ability, gets a REAL spot on the team—not just a seat on the sidelines.

It's not about slowing the game down or finding an obscure way to "include" the student. It's actually designing the system so that everyone can play it.

That's the idea behind both ABLE Games and ABLE in School. Because when kids move side by side, friendships form that wouldn't happen anywhere else in the school day.

So to our Fargo & West Fargo Public School friends on this feed, we hope you have an incredible first day at school these next two days, and we hope you'll never hesitate to include someone! 🧡

It's back-to-school week in Fargo! 🎒🚌 Did you know that the work of ABLE Games doesn't just start and end on competition weekend?

ABLE in School is a K-12 physical education approach built by TNT Kid's Fitness right here in Fargo, the very team behind the ABLE Games we know and love!

It pairs students with special needs alongside their classmates in everyday PE class, so that *every* kid gets to move, learn, compete, and belong together.

Yep, it's the classroom version of what you see at ABLE Games! No separate line, no separate gym. Just one class, moving together. 🏃‍♀️🏃
