What a GREAT day for our Marion County Soccer Club youth at Fairmont State Women’s Soccer Youth Game Day!

From beginning to end, our players had the opportunity to be completely immersed in the college game-day experience!

They started the day creating signs with the FSU Student-Athlete Committee before taking the field for pregame walkout introductions alongside players from both Fairmont State and Frostburg State. Then it was time to cheer on an exciting, hard-fought match that ultimately ended in a draw!

Halftime brought even more fun with youth scrimmages on the field and a penalty shootout against Freddie the Falcon - where ALL of our randomly selected youth collectively came away winners! We think that says something pretty exciting about the young soccer talent coming up through our community!

The day finished with an opportunity to meet and interact with the Fairmont State players, collect autographs, and take home a signed team poster as a special reminder of the experience.

These are the opportunities we love being able to provide our MCSC players. They get to do more than simply watch soccer - they get to step onto the field, interact with collegiate athletes, experience the excitement surrounding the game, and see firsthand where continued hard work and a love for the sport can lead.

We are incredibly fortunate to have a nationally recognized women’s soccer program right here in our community, filled with talented athletes who also demonstrate the sportsmanship and character we want our young players to see and learn from.

MCSC is proud to support Fairmont State Women’s Soccer, and we are so appreciative of the continued support they give right back to our youth!

Thank you, FSU Women’s Soccer, for another memorable Youth Game Day. Our young players had an absolute blast - and we love cheering you on!

We really wanted to get some games in today, but unfortunately Mother Nature had other plans. Due to the weather, all games at the complex have been canceled today.

MCSC YOUTH DAY AT FAIRMONT STATE WOMEN’S SOCCER!

MCSC families, mark your calendars! We’re excited to once again give our youth players the opportunity to take part in a special game day with the Fairmont State University Women’s Soccer Team!

Sunday, September 13
Kickoff at 1:00 PM
Fairmont State University
(Free Admission)

We have a full afternoon planned for our MCSC players, including:

- Pregame poster making to cheer on the Falcons
- Walking onto the field alongside the FSU and visiting team players during pregame introductions
- MCSC players name recognition over the PA system
- Halftime small-sided games on the FSU field
- A chance for players to participate in a penalty shootout with Freddie the Falcon (selection will be randomly drawn from registration)
- Postgame autographs with the FSU Women’s Soccer Team

Last year we had a great turnout, and we want to fill the field with MCSC players again this year!

ALL MCSC PLAYERS ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE! *Registration helps us organize the pregame walkout, age groups for halftime activities, know which names to announce for PA recognitions, and everything else that goes into making the day run smoothly.
