At Brooklyn Robot Foundry—Coastal CT, the robot is just the anchor.
Here’s what’s really happening when kids build:
🦾Building Stress Tolerance: when a wire won’t connect or a wheel won’t turn, kids practice staying calm and trying again instead of giving up.
👥Fostering Collaboration: building in pairs/groups means sharing ideas, sharing tools, and listening to a teammate’s suggestions even when it’s uncomfortable.
⚡️Nurturing Self-esteem: walking out with something you’ve built with your own hands, is proof you can do hard things and succeed even through failure.
This is why we build hands-on and screen free because the wins go way beyond traditional S.T.E.A.M skills!
