Beautiful day for a trail ride with two of my favorite barn Moms ☀️🐴❤️🍾 Hope you both had a lovely Mother’s Day!
As of today, Circle K will be lifting our voluntary quarantine that was instituted last week due to the EHV-1 outbreak in Skagit County. There have been no new diagnoses since 12/23 and there are no other reports of cases outside of the isolated incident/location. I still ask that people are cognizant of cross contamination and do your best to keep your things and the barn clean.
Thank you!

Here’s an article covering current information on the EHV-1 outbreak in King County. It also explains the virus and it’s strains, sign to watch for, and how to help keep your horse protected.
EHV-1 in King County: What You Need to Know | Tacoma Equine Hospital | Horse Veterinary Care | South Puget Sound On December 15th we received an alert from the Equine Disease Communication Center (EDCC) regarding a horse that tested positive for Equine Herpesvirus type-1 n
Effective immediately Circle K is under voluntary quarantine. As most of you may have heard, there is an EHV-1 (rhino) outbreak down south near Woodinville where several horses have had to be euthanized and several others are affected. It has been recommended that we do not allow any non-boarded horses on the property, and we do not allow any of our boarded horses to leave the property. This means until further notice NO HAULS IN WILL BE ALLOWED. If a horse that is boarded at the barn leaves, it may not return until we lift the quarantine. My #1 priority is keeping all of the horses safe. Thank you for your understanding! I will keep everyone posted with updates as I get them. If anyone has any questions please feel free to contact me.
