A Course With a Story to Tell ⛰️🌲

The photos featured here were taken during this year’s Maxwell Cup. The Maxwell Cup was created in 2000 by Kyle Heyen to honor legendary golf course architect Press Maxwell, the designer behind Hiwan and the three other courses represented in the competition. Press Maxwell was known for his creative use of natural terrain and challenging, beautifully contoured greens. At Hiwan, you can see that philosophy around every turn. From mountain-lined fairways and dramatic elevation changes, no two holes feel quite the same.

Hiwan takes home the Maxwell Cup!🏆

This year, Hiwan hosted the Maxwell Cup, and after a close competition against Rolling Hills Country Club, Boulder Country Club, and Pinehurst Country Club, Team Hiwan came out on top! For the first time in club history, the Maxwell Cup is coming home to Hiwan! We’re pretty excited about this one. Congratulations, Team Hiwan! ⛳🦌

Recap from our Club Championship Weekend at Hiwan! 🏆

What a finish! Ryan Jaco battled back against Stephen Reed in an exciting Men’s Championship match, chipping in for birdie on 18 to force a playoff. After a strong drive and clutch putting on #1, Jaco secured the win and the Men’s Club Championship! ⛳️

In the Women’s Championship, Kathy Malpass pulled ahead after a back-and-forth start with Amy Young to claim the Hiwan Cup. No stranger to the winner’s circle, Kathy adds another championship to her impressive Hiwan legacy! 👏🏆

Our Luau last weekend was so much fun! 🌺 From learning traditional hula dance moves and watching incredible fire dancers to enjoying live music and a delicious Hawaii-inspired buffet, it was a night full of island fun for the whole family!
