Swim Lessons with Kyleigh

Swim Lessons with Kyleigh Hi, my name is Kyleigh and I am a first year doctorate student in the Occupational Therapy program at USI! Hi everyone!

I have been teaching swim lessons for 6 years now working with a wide age range! Prior to teaching swim, I swam on the Bosse Swim team and coached. My name is Kyleigh and I am a 2021 graduate of Bosse High School, 2025 graduate of the University of Evansville, and a rising grad at the University of Evansville. I was on the swim team at Bosse for three years before becoming an assistant swim coach at Bosse for 3 years. I am also an instructor at Gold Medal Swim Academy. I have been swimming since an early age and have been in the water regularly since I have been a month old! I am CPR certified, and I worked at a daycare for 2 years and have been babysitting for a good amount of time as well! My typical age range is 3-11 years old, as I don’t do ISR lessons, however, I am willing to work with children 1-2 years old, helping them get acquainted with the water! Lessons for 2025 are $25 for a 30 minute session, or $45 for an hour session! I do the lessons out of the pool at our house on the East Side of Evansville (right across the street from Bosse High School)

You can also plan 2 half hour sessions back to back (sibling groups) for $45! Chemicals are checked daily and the pool is cleaned every morning before lessons. If you plan on a full hour lesson, please put the child's name for both 1/2 hour time slots, it you are doing back to back sessions, please put the name of each child separately! Cancellations that aren’t made with a 24 hour notice will need to pay for the time their lesson was supposed to be (if circumstances beyond your control happen, please contact me and exceptions can be made)

In case of weather, we will work together to reschedule! If these times don't work in your schedule, please contact me and we can find a solution! Please contact me at 812-306-7956 if you have any questions!

Wow, what a summer!

I had so much fun teaching both my new and returning fishies this year, and I also had to say goodbye to some swimmers who have graduated from lessons with me. It was definitely a summer to remember!

Thank you to everyone who braved the hot days and the somewhat chilly mornings to make swim lessons possible. I truly appreciate all of your support and the opportunity to work with your swimmers.

If you're interested in continuing lessons with me, I also teach at Gold Medal Swim Academy. Lessons there would follow the academy's pricing and scheduling, but you can request me when you register. They offer group classes, semi-private lessons, and private lessons.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

I hope everyone has an amazing school year! I'd also love to see your favorite swim lesson memories, so please share pictures of your fishies in the comments!

Thank you again for such a wonderful summer!

Wow what a night! I hope everyone stayed safe last night during the storms and everyone is okay. The bad storms missed our area! Please let me know if anyone needs anything!

🌊💙 Hi everyone! I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to all of my new followers!

My name is Kyleigh Mayer, and I have been teaching swim lessons for the past 6 years! 🏊‍♀️✨ Over the years, I’ve taught lessons at my home pool, at various locations throughout the community, and I even had the opportunity to coach for Bosse High School for 2 years. 🐾🏊‍♂️

Teaching children how to swim is something I am truly passionate about. There is nothing more rewarding than helping kids build confidence in the water while learning important life-saving skills. 💙🌊

A little bit about me—I graduated from the University of Evansville in 2025 with a degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology 🎓📚. I am currently continuing my education at USI, where I am working toward becoming an Occupational Therapist! ✨

The pool where I teach lessons is located at my family home, where I live with my parents, my older sister, and our sweet dog, Kacey 🐶💕. We love welcoming families each summer and creating a fun, safe environment for kids to learn and grow in the water! ☀️🏊‍♀️

Thank you for following along and trusting me to be a part of your child’s swimming journey. I can’t wait to meet more amazing families and help your little swimmers grow their skills and confidence in the water! 🐠☀️💦

Feel free to reach out with any questions about lessons—I’d love to connect! 😊🏊‍♀️

If you are worried about the water being cold fear no more! Last year we made the decision to purchase a heater for the pool so the water will be nice and warm! Don’t let the thought of cold temperatures keep you from signing up!!

Hello my little fishy families! ☀️
This will be my 6th year giving swim lessons, and I’m excited to announce my summer 2026 swim lesson schedule. You may notice there are not as many available time slots as in years past. As many of you know, I am in my first year of doctorate school for Occupational Therapy at USI which is taking up a lot of my time. I am very grateful that my summer schedule allows me to still offer lessons at all this year. With that being said, since I am making this schedule so far in advance of getting my summer class syllabus, please be flexible if we have to change your time slots for a certain day due to mandatory class activities.
Below are my prices for this summer, location, a few do’s and don’ts when coming to swim lessons, and some answers to common questions I get. If there are still questions after, please feel free to text me (812)306-7956.

PRICES
30 minutes: $25.00
1 hour: $45.00

LOCATION
Swim lessons will be held at my home pool, located in the Evansville area (address will be provided upon booking).

PARENT/GUARDIAN ATTENDANCE

🐠If you are bringing multiple children to a lesson, I ask that you please remain off the pool deck and instead sit at one of the tables on the side of the pool. This helps me maintain full attention on your child while I am in the water with them.

🐠please be considerate of other families that are getting swim lessons. There is plenty of seating in the back yard. I ask that your child not interrupt a current swim lesson if one is happening.

🐠If your child is timid or anxious, I kindly ask that you try to remain out of sight during the lesson. Many children look to their parents for reassurance, but they can also pick up on fear or hesitation. I promise that even if your child cries during the lesson, it does not bother me at all and I’m using that time to build a good relationship with them—most of the time, they make significant progress by the end of the session.

AGES I OFFER SWIM LESSONS TO
🐠 I offer swim lessons to children ages 3-about 11 (my pool is not an in ground pool, so it might not benefit older children)
🐠I will work with children under 3 introducing them to water and working on their comfort levels with the water.
❗️I am not ISR certified and this is not what I offer❗️

WHAT TO BRING
☀️Towels
☀️Sunscreen
☀️Swim diapers (if not potty trained or prone to accidents)
☀️Earplugs if needed (swimmer headbands can also be helpful with earplugs)
☀️Goggles (recommended for more advanced swimmers only)
I do not recommend goggles for little ones who are still getting comfortable in the water, as they can create dependence and reduce confidence and safety skills if they were to fall into open water.

DO NOT BRING
🐟Puddle jumpers or floaties
While they may seem helpful, they can create a false sense of security and limit a child’s ability to learn proper water skills.

As always, you are welcome to take as many photos as you’d like and feel free to share them on social media—please tag my swim lesson page.✨📸✨

I can’t wait for another great summer of swim lessons! ☀️

This will be a one-on-one private swim lesson session held at my home pool.If you are bringing multiple children to a lesson, I ask that you please remain off the pool deck and instead sit at one of the tables on the side of the pool. This helps me maintain full attention on your child while I am in

I know with snow in the forecast it’s hard to think about summer! But……. I’m getting ready to make the Summer 2026 swim lesson schedule!

This summers schedule will be a little different as I will be heading into my first summer classes of OT school but there should still be plenty spots open for all my little fishies!!!

Show me who is excited in the comments. I know I am!
