Sensory bottle-making classes offer incredible developmental benefits for children by combining creativity with hands-on learning. Crafting these bottles promotes emotional regulation and calm, giving kids a mesmerizing, self-soothing tool to help manage big feelings and anxiety. The process also boosts cognitive and language growth as children experiment with scientific concepts like buoyancy and expand their descriptive vocabulary. Finally, measuring, pouring, and manipulating small materials strengthens fine motor skills and focus, helping children build concentration spans that last long after the class is over.

We are so lucky to have two different swings in our Blue Room Multisensory Environment. The cocoon rotary swing is very popular and boasts many benefits for children, including:

🌟Vestibular Activation: Rotary motion stimulates the fluid-filled cavities in the inner ear, which controls spatial orientation, posture, and core balance.

💜Alerting and Energizing: Unlike linear back-and-forth motion (which is mostly calming), spinning acts as an alerting sensory input that can boost focus, attention, and neural arousal.

🌈Body Awareness (Proprioception): Managing centrifugal force requires muscles and joints to work together, improving overall physical coordination and grounding.

🌸Self-Regulation: Controlled spinning helps individuals with sensory processing differences process overload, manage dizziness, and achieve a stable nervous system state.

Our rotary swing has a 300lb weight limit, meaning it can be available for older children and some adults too.

Important Notice for Our Valued Friends! 📣 We wanted to remind everyone that we will be taking a short break and will be closed from Tuesday, September 8th, to Friday, September 11th. This means no Open Play or Pizza & Game Night next week.
