A grateful heart changes everything. šŸ¤

Today Iā€™m choosing joyā€”not because life is perfect, but because God has been so good. For the prayers Heā€™s answered, the doors Heā€™s opened, the ones Heā€™s closed, and even the blessings I didnā€™t recognize at first.

There is so much to be thankful for.
God is good. Life is blessed. My heart is full. šŸ™šŸ¼āœØ

David didnā€™t stand there asking God to remove Goliath. He stepped forward believing God had already equipped him for the fight.

Thereā€™s something powerful about admitting youā€™re imperfect, misunderstood, maybe even a little unhingedā€”and still knowing exactly what kind of heart you want to have.

I donā€™t need everyone to understand me.ā€ØI donā€™t need everyone to like me.

Iā€™ll deal with tomorrow when it gets here. Today has asked enough of me already.

Through everything Iā€™ve experienced, one thing Iā€™m proud of is this: I donā€™t want hate in my heart.

When riding this horse my list of things to do was:
-Hold Connection
-Maintain Frame
-Guide Direction w/Legs
-Moniter Feet Position (hers)
-Collect and Drive
-Engage Hindquarters
-Assist w/ Balance
-Sit My Seat

To say the least, riding this horse is not necessarily a walk in the park, especially when Iā€™m responsible for teaching how to use her body while Iā€™m asking her to do something other than eat hay and be a horse.
So I was in the market for something that apply and release pressure when she raised her head and began to ā€œhollow outā€.
The goal is to use this aide as long as it takes for her to retain the information Iā€™m relaying.
Iā€™ve seen a handful of trainers implement bungee cords into their training, but this I designed and built myself. And itā€™s not NOT working.

Adding value to a horse isnā€™t about asking for moreā€”itā€™s about teaching them more.
Today we worked on smooth transitions from the trot to the lope and began introducing the rollback.
Iā€™m using a bungee training aid that only applies pressure when she raises her headā€”her natural way of coping when she doesnā€™t quite understand how to stay engaged through a movement. The goal isnā€™t to force her into a frame, but to give her a clear boundary and help her discover a better way to carry herself.
Our stops are slow and steady right now. Iā€™m giving her the time to think, organize her feet, shift her weight, and figure out where her body needs to be before asking for the rollback.
It may not look fast or flashy, but this is where value is built: one clear lesson, one correct response, and one confident step at a time.
A trained horse knows what to do.ā€ØA well-taught horse understands what youā€™re asking.
