Another exciting pair that came together earlier this summer was Daphne and her new family member Shanbally Remember Me aka Rem-Me 🦄

Some horses take a little more time to find than others but certainly prove to be worth the wait and Rem-Me has proven to be just that. From the first lap around the arena, it’s safe to say it was love at first ride for these two. Since arriving, our barn family has loved watching these two blossom together as a team and seeing the joy they are bringing each other along the way too.

We also found out since his arrival that we unknowingly have a type since after some investigative work by Daphne, we found out that Rem-Me and Legend not only competed against each other in Ireland but were also owned by the same farm in Ireland (horsesinireland.com) at one time as well before making their way to North America. It really is a small world! While they took very different journeys to end up in our barn family, we are so happy these boys found their way across the pond to us and think they are happy to have found their way back to each other as well - See photo for proof 💚🧡

It’s been an exciting year for our team in general but it’s be an especially exciting year for Alicia Follmer because earlier this summer she welcomed London Fog aka Teddy to the family 🧸 We knew he was special the minute we saw his ad but knew he was the special horse for Alicia based on the smile on her face from the first minute she sat on him. He’s continued to bring our whole barn family endless smiles as he’s happily taken on his role as barn greeter and we all can’t wait to see the smiles he will continue to bring Alicia as they continue to grow as a team!

Last weekend our team celebrated Wesley's birthday and were lucky enough to have him in town for the celebrations 🎉 Our barn family has felt so lucky to have Wes as a member of our team for so many trips around the sun and are looking forward to many more of them filled with even more chocolate lava cakes for us humans and plenty of treats for his horses along the way as well 🎂

Our team's show season the last couple of months has been off to a fun and strong start with this past weekend at the Washington State Hunter Jumper Association Evergreen Classic being no different as we celebrated an amazing end to our weekend with Eleanor and Adonis winning Ride of the Day in their ring after laying down a beautiful round in their equitation division 🎉

To wrap up our show season posts from last year, Mary Kate was able to borrow the reins on two of our trusty steeds, Legend and Fluffy, for a couple of horse shows during the show season. Down in Wilsonville at the Country Classic she picked up the Championship in the Long Stirrup Equitation division with Fluffy. Then with Legend the pair picked up Reserve Champion Outreach Equitation 18” and 5th in the USHJA Outreach Derby 18”/2 at the Evergreen Classic. The most impressive feat of this show though was Legend consistently surviving and taking in stride a chipmunk intent on being in the arena and even on the jumps specifically when he was going - See picture at the end if you need proof and a laugh 🐿

Looking forward to a another year of working hard and laughing harder this year 🩷🏅

Looking back on this past year, Jasmine had a couple milestones on her riding journey that we couldn't help but be excited about! The first box that was checked off for her this year was finally getting to steal the reins from her mom to take Marin out for a spin after being the leader of Marin's fan club from the sidelines these past couple of years. The two had a blast working together and we had a blast watching them together! Luckily Erika doesn't have to worry about sharing with Jasmine quite yet since the other exciting milestone that came about this past year was the addition of Silver Star Isabella (Izzy) to the herd. We are thrilled with the progress Jasmine has already made and the confidence she has gained in her time with Izzy. Our team can't wait to see what these two continue to accomplish in their time together and all the smiles that will continue along the way.

Another pair in our barn family who continued to shine last year was Erika and Marin ✨ These two keep getting better and better each season while having tons of fun together while doing so and this past year was no different. Marin has continued to mature into a reliable and competitive partner for Erika while keeping her signature Marin flare we all adore. It seemed the judges agreed last year as well since this pair picked up a tri-color and multiple top finishes along the way including a win in their $500 Short/Long Stirrup Hunter Classic. They've been working hard and smiling harder this off season and we can't wait to see it continue and pay off for them this show season 🩷

Last week we celebrated Shani's birthday which concluded the end of a very exciting year for her since this past fall Shani welcomed a new partner into her life. Adonis won his way into our hearts the day we were introduced to him and has continued to charm our barn family the more we get to know him. Seeing the joy he has brought Shani in their short time together certainly helps too. We can't wait to see these two continue to develop their relationship even more this year and all the fun they will have along the way while doing so.

Erika's past year was filled with equal parts growth and fun as she and her trusty white knight for the season Chili took on the show ring together continuing to improve each outing while also picking up valuable experience and multiple tri-colors along the way 👏 Chili even got a chance to introduce Erika to the jumper ring during their time together! It's been such a blast for our team seeing all the lessons Erika learned this past year and applying them in her partnership with the new man in her life, Dibbs, as they continue to develop their relationship which has been proven to be off to a strong start as the pair picked up a blue ribbon in every class they entered at their recent horse show outing 🎉

Our team is looking forward to the lessons ahead and the fun to be had this year for these two while finding the laughs when needed and cheering them along each step of the way!
