🐝🔥 WEEK 2 — BATTLE OF THE BRIDGE 🔥🐝

THE WAIT IS OVER! For the first time, our schedules have aligned with the HS—and the rivalry is coming in HOT! 🙌

After the High School Football Battle of the Bridge lights up Friday night, the action DOESN’T STOP! We’re bringing the battle straight into Saturday as the Enumclaw Jr. Hornets and White River Jr. Hornets hit the field in the JR.Battle of the Bridge!

This is more than a game. This is PRIDE. PASSION. BRAGGING RIGHTS.

Pack the stands, wear your maroon and gold, choose your Hornets side, and bring the noise from the opening whistle to the final horn!

Yesterday’s 5th grade Enumclaw Jr. Hornets game was supposed to be about the excitement of the first game of the season — the nerves, the cheering, the touchdowns, and watching these boys take the field after working so hard.

Instead, the game ended with one of our young athletes suffering a serious injury during the final play and being airlifted to Harborview.

It was one of the most terrifying moments many of us have ever experienced on the Jr. Hornets fields. His teammates were scared. The families were scared. In that moment, football didn’t matter anymore. All that mattered was making sure he was okay. In a quiet stadium both sides of the ball came together in heightened emotions everyone stood united in support of him asking for prayed some more. 🙏🏻

Thankfully, after regaining movement and receiving reassuring imaging results, this brave young athlete was cleared to go home. 🙏🏻❤️

While we are incredibly grateful for this positive news, the emergency airlift and medical care have created a significant financial burden for his family. They should be able to focus on their son, his recovery, and being together — not on the expenses from one of the most frightening experiences of their lives.

The wait is OVER. Today we kick off the 2026 Jr. Hornets football season at Pete’s Pool as we welcome the GK Eagles to the field!

Our athletes have been putting in the work, and now it’s time to turn that work into GAME DAY. 🔥

✨ Staff Spotlight: Competition Cheer ✨
You might recognize our next Competition Cheer coach from the sidelines, because she’s a woman of many roles within the cheer side of our organization. Let’s hear it for Dana! 💛🐝
Dana is a constant for our girls and the Jr. Hornets cheer community. She’s dependable, organized, and always ready to jump in wherever she’s needed. She has a way of staying one step ahead and keeping all the little details moving without making a big fuss about it.
From sideline to competition, she’s become such a valuable part of our cheer program, and we’re so excited to have her taking on another role this season!

And just like that… COMP CHEER SEASON IS HERE! 🎉📣🔥
Today marks the first practice of the season, so what better time to shine the spotlight on our Head Competition Cheer Coach, Lauren Kinney! 👏🏼
Lauren is the definition of ABOVE & BEYOND. She’s a go-getter, a problem-solver, and someone who never waits around for things to happen — she makes them happen. 💪🏼
She leads with heart, passion, purpose, and a whole lot of ambition. She isn’t afraid to stand up for what she believes is right, and she’s always pushing for what’s best for our program and, most importantly, these girls. 💛
If there’s something that needs to be done? Consider it handled. ✔️
If there’s a challenge? She’s already figuring it out. ✔️
If there’s a room full of girls who need someone to believe in them? She’s ALL IN. ✔️
Lauren brings the energy, the drive, and the kind of leadership that inspires those around her to rise to the occasion. We are SO excited to watch her lead this team into another incredible season! 🖤💛

WHAT. A. DAY! 🏈🐝📣
Jamboree 2026 was a HUGE success! These athletes showed up and SHOWED OFF! 👏🏻 All of their hard work over the last few weeks of practice came together, and man, did it PAY OFF! We are looking GOOD out there, Enumclaw Jr Hornets! 🔥
A BIG thank you to all of our visiting teams for helping make it such a safe, respectful, busy, and eventful day! We are so thankful for each and every one of you and everything you bring to our NYFL community.
What a way to kick off the season! We are SO proud of our athletes and can’t wait to see what’s ahead!
