Our Judo Dojo focuses on three basic styles: Competition Judo (IJF), Traditional (Freestyle) Judo, and Street Judo. Our dojo is in Lonestar Fitness Center, a facility with a large workout floor, tanning center, and separate dressing rooms.
Good week of training for our club! We continued working on several techniques and their respective counters.

Great classes tonight!
Kids classes worked on O-Uchi-Gari (Major Inside Reap) to Koshi-Guruma (Hip Wheel).
Adults reviewed the technique from Monday and went over Kumi-Kata as well as passing the guard.

Tonight, we had a good amount of students on the mat. We worked on O-Uchi-Gari (Major Inside Reap) and its potential counter of Yoko-Wakare (Side Separation), leading to a hold down. Definitely a fun class tonight!

Adults / Teens tonight! Looks like its gonna be a good size class tonight. Come roll!
Fun time at class tonight!
Small kids class, so I was able to go over the beginning of "Around-the-world" to build the kids transitioning skills from one pin to the next.
Adults, is starting to grow and be consistent. We warmed up and did a detailed session about Tate-Shiho-Gatame (Stradling Hold). The lesson included possible escapes as well as available chokes.
Overall the classes at this point have a good foundation and are continuing to grow!
Classes tonight were fun!
Kids class worked on their Drop-Knee Seoinage and finished with Tate-Shiho-Gatame.
Adults worked on similar techniques like Seoinage but worked on counters as well as Kami-Shiho-Gatame.
Overall good stuff!
Great Adult/Teen class! We definitely had bodies hitting the floor!
We went over 5 throwing techniques with an added pin with escapes.
Eyes were definitely opened wide watching Harai-Goshi (Sweeping Hip) in action.
